Use your tv as a monitor to play Civ III & Civ IV...?

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to purchase any hardware required to allow me to play Civ III and/or Civ IV using my tv as my computer monitor. If it is a good idea, what hardware would I need and will the images be as vivid as they or on my cpu monitor or will they be distorted because of my tv?

If you have a big HDTV-type LCD screen, then sure.

If you have a grainy old-school type TV< forget it, it'll be low-rez garbage.
