So i played a lot of civ and the greatest victory i achived every time was with aztecs. I adopt tradition tree as soon as possible and honor for culture farming as soon as i start killing dem barbarians. What happens later in the game is that i have hugeeee cities ( and very imortanf very few of them) which can produce wonders pretty fast. I hate having lots of cities that i need to manage every turn. City positioning is crutial. So they all need to be next to river or a lake. One or two by the sea so you have acess to naval units. But what i like the most is to build cities near mountains in jungles. Those cities will be able to generate massive amount of science and for that purpose and gold ( coz only way to improve jungle and not cut it is to build a trading post or a camp) So how to make ur cities the greatest? Well as i mentioned the positioning is very important! Lots of rivers and lakes, in jungles next to mountain and of course lots of resources around and at least 6 tiles away from ur other cities. Basically u have to create cities where they will harness most of the resources and especialy luxury for big cities= big unhapiness. Very important thing is to specialize your cities. ( that means that u build %amplifing wonders in cities which generate most for example culture. Also in ur jungle cities near mountains first build universities, observatories, markets, banks etc. So how to make ur cities grow very fast. Just build as fast as possible floating gardens in every city. And keep on constructing every food building possible exepct agueducts for u will get them by adopting tradition. Also fertility rites pantheon comes in very hand aswell as temple of artemis. I usualy start my game by researching archery and while doing so building two scouts untill i can start constructing temple of sie Artemiiiis. Why do i build scouts? Coz i love em. Actually not them but scouts upgraded into archers so they can keep up with me jaguars. So next step is culture farming. Dont produce ur jaguars buy them aswell as settlers. There shouldnt be any settler that u didnt bought coz thats just a waste of growth. In the beginning of the game u will get a massive boost in social policies by culture farming. So how do u start? Build two scouts research archery build temple of artemis find some city states (preferably religious so u could get fertility rites before somoene else snatches it). For social policies u should adopt tradition and open honor befor u start killing barbarians. In the begining u use all ur money to buy jaguars lots of jaguars. U should have one jaguar by each city state u know and at least 3 by other civz. Another very important thing is to steal workers not to build them, ask for tributes and trade fvk other civs (trade fvking means selling all ur gold per turn and resources for all their gold and then declaring war). Ofcourse these should be coordinated so u actualy malest them a little when u trade fvk em later in the game u can even conquer come cities. Stealin settlers is also very important in the begining coz u dont want other civs takin good places. Also never ever never anexx cities unless theyre like awesome. So next thing rush iron working coz u will need to build some cities near iron. If you manage to find a religion u should take tilthe for u will gain gold for every 4 citizens which is great. Also it is good to build hanging gardens and become friends with maritime city states. When u finnish adopting tradition u should continue adopting honor unless u wish to become peacefull ( if ur about to be peceaful u should also found follower belief swords into plowhashers) Also it is very important for u to adopt three on the right policies in comerce (15% discount on purchase and +2 happines from luxury resource), two on the right of freedom policies ( for u will have lots of specialists in ur mega cities) and of course rationalism for u will be able to buy great scientists with faith. This walkthrought will show very effective in deity difficulty but will also make u invincible in easier difficulties. Enjoy!
