Started two games now, both as Spain. Abandoned the first one early due to screwing up my native diplomacy and losing every settlement to the Inca. Both times, through trading maps, it seems that although my colonial rivals started off in the right places they all end up settling in Brazil, with the result that I may have literally all of North America to myself. It's barely 1530 and I have about 12x the score of George Washington.

Is it worth going on? Is the AI in this modmod better at branching out into areas unconnected to the original colony, or should I jack it in and start again?

If I wipe out a colonial rival, are they dead forever or can they reappear somewhere else?
