Any ideas on this?

I will be playing a game and everything works just fine. When I save the game then try to reload it I can't open up the city screen. I think I'm playing v2.42. The bug doesn't crop up all the time. It's just frustrating when I try to play a game I have been working on for 3 weeks and suddenly can't interact with the city screen and have to throw the whole thing away. :confused:
 
Try MGE patch +compatibility patches when needed.
Also, more info is needed.
Are you playing on a machine with 64 bit operating system?
Windows/Unix, which version?

OS is Windows 7. 32 bit.

I think this a screen shot of what I get. It wants me to interface with the city screen but there is no city screen.

I think I found a half-assed work around.
It seems that if I load up a different game..Even a new game...and interact with a city the problem clears up in all existing games.
After doing that I can't even duplicate the error any longer...Though I have seen it crop up before.

Just seems really strange.
