2beakers/turn, 7 turns to get Bronze Working cost=20 : a newbie wants to understand!

Hi, I just want to understand something. Here's the thing I don't get : I started a game on Warrior level with the Mongols, I am getting 2 beakers/turn for science and it tells me that I will take 7 turns to get Bronze Working but the cost of that technology is 20 beakers so shouldn't it be 10 turns to get it? I'd like to understand why is it 7 turns... On my City Report screen it tells me 2 beakers/turn as the total.

yea, i know its wierd, i just ignore, because it does take the correct ten turns

WTF? I didn't know downloadable content is out already!

Is that 2 beakers total, or just 2 beakers in one city? Do you have another city producing a beaker? It would make sense that it takes 7 turns if this were true.

Also, if you swap techs, you carry the beakers from the old tech to the new tech. This may be why it was 7 instead of 10 turns

Yeah the Build times seem weird but I have the DS version so I'm not so worried about the details as long as its fair.
