:dubious::wow::eek:

Out of curiosity, what is the "actual" population of a size 100 city in RFC? Something in the hundreds of millions, right?

1.5 billion. 70% of the population of my current game, by the way.

Just put England out of its misery already.
London can't work a single tile.

Well, if they would run City States they could get a few specialists in there

Having to reassign a farmer to a citizen everytime the city grows is a lot of hassle though.

Spoiler :

Pray tell me, how is that even possible? Especially when you have Amsterdam and Frankfurt being so close to Amiens, and still being high-pop cities! :crazyeye:

Like Jusos is the master of Domination challenges and youtien is the record-setter for fastest, most-efficient UHVs,
strijder20 is widely known as the undisputed master of City States gambits.

It's mostly taking advantage of the City States civic in conjunction with Sid's Sushi and specialists (a few other things too if I'm not mistaken),
the latter of which is well known in vanilla BtS for making great late-game cities.
The problem here is managing stability, because City States is notoriously volatile.

Thank you! :hatsoff: I'm not that good at actually playing the game though

Yup. It's pretty simple: get a civilization which starts as early as possible and has access to Christianity, and has decent growth/GP generation modifiers. Then get the Leaning Tower, Blue Mosque or the Globe Theatre and National Park in one city (preferably with 7 good food land tiles and not much more than that, Byzantium is one of the best spots in the game for a CS capital). Run CS and Representation, settle all your great specialists in the city and you're set.

Other wonders which may help you out are Lubyanka and the Sistine Chapel.

The economy boost makes up for it, though  But expanding too fast may kill you for certain. I only founded 6 cities in this game, conquered too, and just culture-flipped all my other possessions (Sistine Chapel).

About the cities being so close to each other: you only have to work 7 land tiles, so it's not really a problem. Those cities already had Great People settled in them so I didn't want to disband them.

By the way, was Corea really that much of a threat in that game?
I see you went out of your way to conquer them.

Well, they were independent, and I guessed having a foothold in South-East-Asia to culture-flip other cities from would help. Seoul itself has four corporation resources too, IIRC. And the city in Manchuria's got Oil (so +50:gold: and :science: empire-wide).

I wish there was some mod out there that reduced all the lag during late game. There must be something inefficient..

As your comment wasn't that aggressive, I don't think you deserve a Godwin point, but you're very close to...

It's an excellent in-game solution to lag and strategically advantageous.
I do not understand why taking out your neighbors to secure space for yourself wouldn't be a priority,
especially in a game like this where prime real estate is so limited,
unless UHV timetable or tech parity restraints (Mesoamerican civs) prevent you from doing so otherwise.

Other solutions for reducing lag include:

-Buying/building a better computer
-Set all Graphics settings to lowest
-Uninstall VD (if you were using it)

That's on the table too if lebensraum isn't your thing.

Devour all the prime land

Why is it that Sweden is ineligible for Trading Company? They had trading companies so I think it would be reasonable if they could at least get the corp even if colonies such as St. Barts, Gold Coast plus Danish colonies (St. John, St, Thomas, St. Croix, Gold Coast, some Indian settlement).

The last time we heard something from Leoreth, he was trying to incooperate a mod that would reduce the lag pretty much.

K-Mod. Also improves the AI by a huge factor.

Does anyone have any tips for the Phoenician UHV? I have tried a couple of times now and it just seems impossible to me, even on Marathon the timescale is just too short, and it's often very difficult to defend against the Persians and Romans. I can usually get the Cothon and Palace in Cathage (especially if I end up loosing Sur to the Persians), and control of Spain is easy. However, successfully defeating the Romans in the time frame seems very difficult. Wouldn't even know about the final UHV as I've never made it that far.
