cant open save files

Maybe someone can help me. i play civ a new dawn on windows 8.

When i start a new game and i can play whitout any problems and i eaven can save and load the game a couple of time`s.

But after some time in the game when i try to open the save file i get the following messsage ``the savefile you have selected is protected to ensure that the assets in your mod folder have not been changed``

i`m running the game as administator. anybody got any ideas on how to fix this ? any help would be greatly appreciated.

You've started the game with Lock modified assets option. Then you updated the game to the latest revision, which changes the assets folder. Either you start the game without that option, or you don't update the mod until you've finished the game.

Thanks for the quick reply. So the old save games are lost forever and i have to start over ?

you could always down grade the copy you have to the version you started with.

Just download the SVN version of what your saved game was started with.
