Has anyone ever had their trade embargoed?

I've never been embargoed, but I don't want to jinx it.

Yes I've been embargoed mutiple times. But usually it doesn't hurt me because I will have many puppets with tradeposts producing gold by the time these kind of votes come into play. Depending on trade routes for income is not a good strategy if you're planning to war everybody.

I would except Indonesia is the Beast. It would break the rules of the game I am playing. In any case I have my tourism increased and influence from Indonesia is falling off now.

I've done both: embargoed someone else, and got myself embargoed.

It happens occasionally, but they need to embargo city-states simultaneously for you to actually die a "diplomatic" death.
