Rise and Rule for Civ3:Conquests

Here are the maps I converted (read: I did not make them, I just added resources and starting locations). I've got a few more in the works, too. Let me know if they can be improved in any way.

OH, I almost forgot. I deleted the Rubber resourcefrom a few of teh Eurasia maps since it wasn't historically found there.

Just remember that if you do this those european civs will not be as powerful as they (historically) should be. Thats the propblem with making a "historically accurate" mod. ;)

Deleting Rubber removes it from the unit requirements. So they'll still be able to build the units that require it.

EDIT: If I get more complaints, I'll add it back in.

That's true. I didn't know that you were going to completely delete rubber.
 
I came to this thread hoping for some leads to unit graphics, my goal being to restore to RaR the old DYP look. Rangers that look like rangers for example. My first impression upon seeing the first page of the thread?

"Long, isn't it?"

So if you happen to know where a fellow might find a RaR compatible unit graphics pack I'd much appreciate it.
 
This is pretty much it. there's a 1.04 release, which really doesn't fix much, in the 900 range somewhere. I don't remember exactly, but it is in the 900 range. But there's still a lot of gfx missing.
 
I am looking to upload the RAR mod that has a bunch of the 'missing' icon fixed, but I am missing just the Philospher' School. So if anyone has that, I would GREATLY appreciate it if they could make it available to me.

Also, I have noticed that the [Coffee Plantation], [Cotton Plantation], [Tea Growers], [Fur Trader], [Gem Mine], [Gold Mine], [Silver Mine], [Silk Factory], [Spice Farms], [Winery] and [Tobacco Plantation] are unavailable and say " The [building] is unavailable until we make it work properly, sorry." Does anyone know how to get that to work?
 
I don't think so. I just took off the auto produce, picked an appropriate time for the building of the item, and made it available.

I first made the different plantations available when the resource became available and was connected to the city. However the auto produce gave me these packets of cotton, tea, etc. which I could do nothing with. In the editor I found that these were auto-produced (lower right side of screen). So I unchecked the auto produce of that. I assume that the makers had wanted to trade the 'tea' or 'cotton' that was produced but never were able to add that into the equation.
So I then went to the building and added a number to the production to get some value of the Tea Plantation for the expense of building it. This gave me a return on my investment if you will.

I hope that this helps explain it better to you. I have made sure that the resource was in city limits also so you wouldn't be able to build Tea Plantations in all cities, just those that had the Tea nearby, which only makes sense.

What is 'I don't think so' referring to? And is the latter a way to make the plantations work? If so, more detailed walk-thru would be much appreciated.
 
There's a lot of stuff in the RnR biq that is inaccessible. They didn't get to finish it to their liking before moving on to Civ4.
 
OK, I've made the updates and I have a large 150MB file that has all the changes. (I would have uploaded just the changes, but I lost track of what I did.) Any suggestions on the best way to make it available? Also, I don't want to step on any toes by doing this either...

About to make my third attempt to download from FilePlanet in the face of some crappy javascripting. Be wary of who you let advertise on your site.

Update: Now downloading. But be aware that File Planet shows all the class of a porn site when it comes to its advertising. Ask the Atomic Gamer people about file hosting. At least with them you know where they're coming from.
 
I'm sorry Micokeman, but actually I've no time to play as much as I wish, so I cannot test the mod.
I just loaded it to watch at the tech tree and at the units in game.
It looks well done!
As I'm working on another mod I had the idea to have a WW2 version of RAR with more units involved, but it's just an idea as I have no time to work on it.

I just clicked on it and it took me to a page where you have to scroll down to get to the link. It says "Download Now with FileFactory Basic". After that you wait about 40 seconds and then the link "Download with FileFactory Basic" will be available. You must extract it with 7z.

Let me know if you still have trouble downloading it.
