IF I had an SGL I would rush the wonder in a place that was not building anything, but not way out in the border area.
Hello all, is there a way to play civ not full screen? I've got a 23" screen and as you can imagine, it's ridiculous!! Thanks!
Well I have cleared my landmass so It's very low risk that I would lose it in an invasion, or at least not for long.
Was mainly just wondering if it would have an effect on coruption. As I think it would be good if wonders had a small local effect on coruption by boosting lets call it civic pride, even if it only lasted for the age that the wonders belong to.

. . . . Up till now my approach to dealing with happyness had been to hook up some luxaries that I can get my hands on in the early game. Then go to war to get some more and after currency build marketplaces everywhere.
I think I am only three lux's short of the total in this game. Cleared my landmass and have a good tech lead. Thinking of going for Diplomatic now as I have not been at war with any surriving civ and have been trading with them for a while now. Have about 7 techs to go, so still to soon to start a prebuild for the UN.
If I don't have deals with the three other civ's for a lux from each of them my big cities have unhappyness problems. Should I be building temples/catherdals or be going down the collisem's route or just using the slider?
Am i just thinking of CIV 2 but do collisem's give better happyness after electricty?
(Emphasis supplied). There size 12, The cities are nor revolting or anything just a good few people unhappy. I have lux slider at zero. I suppose I just have to get a bit better at using that at the moment I only really use it to deal with war wearness when thats a problem and focus all my spending on science.
. . . . The best way to deal with WW is to win the war quickly or end it quickly.
That means 20 turns more less. You could also be in a form of government that has no issues with war, such as Monarchy. You could also spend the resources to make the pop happy, in spite of war, that is expensive.
