about 1000 hours

So, as of this post, the total hours spent playing Civ V are between 69,070 and 62,655. Interesting!

As for me, according to Steam, I have 1,243 hrs... and counting.

2105 , yeah I love this game :)

I think I'm at 501-700 hours played. On my current Steam account it says 147 on my old Steam account I had like 400+ hours.

Steam says 7,112, but what the heck, 70 years old, retired, and enjoy sloshing through all the options. I am on a break now, but need to complete the Pax Romana Aeternum achievement. I have the BNW but did not want to start it till I completed the last of the old achievements. I bought the Tropico 4 bundle and have 28 of the 38 missions done. Then I'll be back to Civ 5.

1800 hours played here. Do those hours wrack up if you leave the game up and running when you go to bed or does it stop counting if there's no activity?

I'm pretty sure it keeps counting as long as Steam recognizes the game is running. I've seen people who leave games running just to get insane amounts of hours to "show off".

Wow. That's sad.

22 hours, and I bought it on the day of release. Four failed attempts at enjoying it in almost three years, I think. :(

718 hours on Napoleon : Total War, though. :p

Steam say 1413 for me, but well old age seems to have set in and I've fallen asleep mid game a few times, but still must be around 1000. Weird when I was young I seldom played games on the computer, more into programming and spread sheets etc., now I get bit by the game bug in the last few years and I'm prowling the Steam sales (ok I did play some Doom back when and Civ 1 on the Amiga). My next closest game in Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion (the earlier version wasn't on Steam so I've no idea) with a paltry 181 so Civ has really addicted me esp. since I'm a big SciFi fan you'd thing Sins would be better but I've only played it a few times since getting Civ V.

Anyone remember those old text based "Imhotep" games you used to find on main frames and things like the TRS-80? We've come a long way!
