The War of the Rings is over. Gondor, and the Free People of Middle Earth have triumphed. The Alliance of the Two Towers is shattered. Sauron is reduced to an ephemeral spirit, Saruman has fallen in the shire. The men of Gondor seek to make Bree their temporary base in the North, a base of operations from which Eriador can be tamed and Arnor rebuilt. In the long term, the leaders of the reunited kingdom dream of rebuilding old Annúminas, but for now, this is base camp for them. Aragorn has come back to the village where he was long known as Strider, but things are different here now. Theres something suspicious going on, though the Gondorian delegation cannot quite place it. People whisper of walking trees, ruffians, and some kind of magic afoot.
Initially, the Gondorians ignore these rumors, and continue the process of consolidating power over Breeland. Then, one day, spaceman98, a diplomat from the delegation is found murdered. A note next to his body reads Welcome to Eriador, Tarkish invaders! (Tark is black speech for Numenorian) http://tolkiengateway.net/wiki/Tark. Aragorn orders an immediate investigation. Each day, one suspect is to be executed. No one is to enter or leave the town until the threat has been rooted out. Order must be restored, to ensure the success of the reunited kingdom.

Day is 48 hours, and Night is 24 hours. Though I wont be exact (if you get your vote in before the Votes Locked post, its a valid vote. This is because of my variable and chaotic schedule, and because honestly I see no reason to be stringent with deadlines.)
During the Day Phase, you may vote for any living player.
Votes must be bolded.
If you wish to change your vote, you must Unvote or strike out.
Whoever has the most votes at the end of the day phase will be killed, and the game will advance to night.
There will be one Title in the game: Mayor of Bree. The owner of the title will break ties in voting. It will be voted on D1, and again later if its initial owner dies. If the title does not break the tie (e.g. there is a tie in voting for the title), then I will use RNG to break it.
Vote for Mayor in Blue
The holder of a title can abdicate at any time in which case they lose it at the end of this day phase and a new vote is held next day phase.
During the night phase, various factions and players will send in their orders. You may talk in thread and in QT during the night phase.
QTs: Quite a few of you are in various GM-created QTs with each other, and have some knowledge of each others roles. I will tell you if shared QT implies your on the same team or not. You are allowed to create player created QTs but I should be included in all of them.
If you are dead, you are no longer able to vote, use abilities, or actively participate in the thread. You may leave one parting screw you or avenge me type comment, but overall, dead men tell no tales.
Private communication is allowed. Id like to be forwarded long PM chains and added to player-created QTs.
Do not quote any message the host may send you; you must use your own words. This also means that you can never quote your Role PM. You CAN quote other peoples PMs. No screenshots, ever.
Abstaining is allowed. Support votes and No Lynch are not.
Inactivity will result in replacement or WOG after two day phases of not posting. If you expect to be inactive, then please PM me beforehand, and I can make an exception.
Alignment and ability are revealed upon death. This reveal is guaranteed to be fair.
--> The "and ability" part was added, its a clarification since I realized it was ambiguous prior
Scanners may exist, but their reliability is not guaranteed. They will be useful, but not infallible.
This work has a source material, but it may not always be an indication of alignment. As in NSP2/3 (for example), some characters can have alignments that differ from the source material. Likewise dont try to read into past statements Ive made about characters alignments outside of this game. Both will lead you astray. Be careful who you trust, and who you distrust.
No spam or editing posts, save for grammatical fixes. If a post has a vote in it, dont edit it at all or the vote wont count.
Most importantly, have fun!
Violating these rules can get you WOGed at my discretion
