How's the update coming along?

can't write good orders now, but if this is acceptable:

scrap the boat, build the water purifier, wait it out given we have no ammo.

How's the update coming along?

Well, it'd probably be coming along ok if I had remembered to bring in my jump drive the past two days so I could actually work on it. As it stands though, haven't done much, or anything really. Changing that status today, and we'll see where things go from there.

Heart of Darkness

Inter-Faction Reports

AN OPEN MARKET. Nasacity, Nasa. Nasa Radio has recently begun broadcasting about the establishment of a marketplace outside of Nasacity where people can safely trade goods and services. According to the broadcasts, the endeavor has been a remarkable success for the cities on the Atlantic Coast, as many come to acquire supplies and resources from a single concentrated area. Nasa has pledged protection to any who arrive, assuming that they register and obey the rules of the market, but otherwise have promised no intervention or taxes upon the private economy emerging. A number of interviews were broadcast with successful merchants, claiming that this is the start of binding the people of the east together as a prosperous and free land.

RADIO FOR THE PEOPLE. Congress City, Vanguards. Even as Nasa begins broadcasting new messages about a growing marketplace they have come under condemnation by a new station. Run by a woman with a highly appealing voice, Radio Socialism has begun accumulating a growing audience throughout the Sunshine Wasteland. They broadcast numerous songs of the worker, some recorded and others by an allegedly live chorus and orchestra. They claim that Nasa Radio is leading people astray, and they have called for the establishment of unions and labor protection in the free communities of the Sunshine Wasteland. They argue that the oppressors should be overthrown and that communes of the worker mark the road to progress. These broadcasts have concerned a number of leaders of free communities, fearful of the possibility of these words sparking revolution, so claims Radio Socialism.

Faction Reports

Atomic Foxes
Spoiler :

It has been a fairly simple year so far for the Atomic Foxes, avoiding any sort of true issues, as the people have been given a chance for relaxation and rest. Knowing that tensions in the bunker have been high lately, the Commander offered all a chance to relax from their duties and to rebuild morale. The effort was successful, helping people take their minds of the problems of the real world with some leisure time in the bunker. Only two important matters occupied these six months; a trade for food and water with Lakeshire, and a small expedition sent out to the neighboring town of Lakeland. The trade itself was fairly unremarkable as laborers from Lakeshire brought the supplies to the bunker’s doorstep, and hauled away the scrap paid for it. The expedition had a more exciting time. First, they explored more verdant parts of Valdosta, only to find that the whole area, even the portions that had been set aside for parks are still worthless and too irradiated for farming. When the expedition went north they found the entire Lakeland area similarly too irradiated and ruined to be usable for farming, though they claim that the lakes in the area have a fairly low radiation level and could be pumped for water with a proper purification setup. The town itself is overrun with mirelurks, which attacked the expedition, thankfully only causing minor injuries with no deaths.

Turn Stat Changes
-1,000 Scrap Parts, +200 Food, +200 Water from Lakeshire trade
-90 Ammunition from expedition losses
-125 Food and Water from consumption

Commander’s Challenge: An opportunistic trader has come from Lakeshire to offer us a steady supply of food, stating that he has provided food from his farm to the community for several years. He has stated that he would provide the bunker with 50 units a food every six months, in exchange for 5 Laser Weapons and 15 Ammo recurring “for his friends” until we no longer need his foodstuffs. Some of our people welcome the chance to avoid starvation, others are wary about his possible use of these weapons. How do we respond?

Calusa Indians
Spoiler :

The Calusa Indians struggled with sleep related issues this year but were fortunate enough to avoid anything serious. Despite some council members suggesting human sacrifice of immigrants to help appease the spirits, the council leadership has taken a more rational approach. They have attempted to investigate the matter, looking for any common thread among sleepwalkers, but have failed in these efforts. To all appearances there is no common link between the people worst affected by these occurrences. This has bolstered support for the more religious and superstitious among the council, who have continued stating that the tribe is being haunted by supernatural beings. Also on the home front, the tribe leadership has attempted to make contact with the squirrels of Sebring, feeling pretty foolish in the process as the squirrels simply just stare at the humans who attempt to do so, without registering that any statement was made. The squirrels have continued to grow in number around the camp and in the wilderness in general, but are neither hostile nor helpful towards any humans in the area.

The only real external event undertaken by the Calusa was an expedition west towards the ruins of Avon Park to further explore the tribe’s surroundings. They found that Avon Park was inhabited by a small amount of varied wasteland monsters, including a small group of squirrels from Sebring who act as the prey for larger wildlife. The expedition reported that Avon Park’s surrounding area is almost ridiculously fertile for farming, and apparently teaming with already extant orange trees from pre-war times. The expedition pushed only a little further west to the ruins of Wauchula, finding the area less arable, and with a similar degree of varied wildlife. They returned home without incident, reporting the promising news of new potential farmland.

Turn Stat Changes

-60 Ammunition from westward expedition losses
+5 Population from Natural Growth
+80 Food, +190 Water from surplus production

Chief’s Challenge: The sleepwalking has continued to worsen in those already afflicted with it, and the walking has taken a new twist. People have begun digging a hole right outside of our compound for no particular reason. They have undertaken any means to get out of the compound and have been cooperatively digging while still asleep. Our spiritual leaders have become more and more alarmed, claiming that we are cursed and facing a horrid supernatural threat, and have rallied more people to their cause of human sacrifice to appease the gods to stop this curse. How do we respond to the situation?

The Conch Thalassocracy of the Keys
Spoiler :

The Thalassocracy has faced a desperate moment in its history and prevailed with very little ado. As a dire water shortage loomed, the government sought for solutions to the problem, and came up with scrapping one of the two remaining powered ships in their control. The ship was salvaged for scrap and tech, allowing them to muster up the resources needed to build a new water pump and purifier. The increased production has allowed them to resume surplus production of vital resources, aiding in a new recovery. Most of the community’s efforts were focused into this, though there was a pall of dread looming over as fears of raiders grew due to a lack of ammunition.

Turn Stat Changes
+500 Scrap Parts, +10 Tech Parts from scrapping small boat
-400 Scrap Parts, -6 Tech Parts from construction
+5 Population from Natural Growth
+295 Food and Water from surplus production

High Doge-President’s Challenge: An end to radio broadcasts from a known location in the Everglades said to come from a functioning vault has caused further despair to our people. They have suggested that an expedition be dispatched on our remaining vessel to venture by sea to the location through the swampy waterways. They claim that if contact is made, resources vital to our people’s survival could be traded for. If the vault is abandoned, substantial salvage could be found of all types. On the other hand, the opposition to this proposal claims that there’s no way of knowing if these broadcasts are legitimate, or if they are, if the vault has anything to trade or if it even existed. They believe our remaining ship would be better served in the stripping of resources from Marathon and other nearby islands. How do we respond to this debate?

Monastic Brotherhood of Poor-Fellows and Crusader Knights
Spoiler :

It has become clear to the leadership of the Brotherhood about the abhorrent threat of the red bannered heathens to the north known as the Vanguards. The threat was compounded a few months later as reports came from the Church in Ocala of a massive and well-armed expedition arriving at the town gates and being briefly welcomed before returning north. Further investigations into allies and enemies were the central focus of these six months, and a number of expeditions were sent out into the wastes. The first and largest expedition was two scouting forces sent to the north, looking for the remnants of the rumored community that the Vanguards had wiped out. Stories from travelers brought the expedition to Gainesville where they found the fortified bunker community that the Vanguards had allegedly overrun. No trace of any previous population or community was found in investigations. Attempts to find leftover weapons or technology did not succeed, as the scouts instead brought home what scrap they could carry.

Another expedition was sent southwest to a place known before the war as The Villages, passing first through the empty ruins of Ocklawaha. The scouts claim that the soil around Ocklawaha is incredibly fertile and the lake has only the most minute traces of radiation, making it one of the most promising seen locations for a future settlement. The Villages were a bit more affected by the war and while farming could be possible there, a decent number of monsters exist and the expedition had to fight for what little salvage they were able to carry home. They were still more successful than the final expedition which went east to cross the St. Johns River and search out the people known as Nasa, but they disappeared and were never heard from again, likely falling prey to the hazards of the wasteland.

Turn Stat Changes
+30 Scrap Parts from Gainesville expedition
+15 Scrap Parts from the Villages expedition
-15 Population, -15 Low-Tech Melee weapons from lost eastern expedition
+10 Population, +20 Food, +25 Water from immigration

+130 Food and Water from surplus production

Grandmaster’s Challenge: A theological debate has emerged over the creatures that some call “ghouls.” A few of our more charitable clergy members have begun to argue that these beings are still humans, just badly afflicted ones. They have called for efforts to capture and rehabilitate these beings and help them to regain their humanity. Opposition to this claims that the ghouls are no longer human, but simply creatures of the devil, shells of their former self and incapable of redemption. The two camps have come to the Grandmaster for a ruling on whether rehabilitation should be attempted or if ghouls should continue to be slain on sight. How do we respond?

Nasa
Spoiler :

Nasa has remained solidly focused upon the home front for the first part of this year. Unfortunately this was somewhat due to tragedy as a fire spread and destroyed one of the storehouses for farming equipment, resulting in a total loss. Less than a month later, a raider attack upon Nasacity led to a few deaths and a vicious battle. Mostly the community has been focused on the development of strong ties with neighboring towns and settlements. Extensive trading has taken place with the State of Daytona to the north, as surplus ammunition is traded for scrap, while Nasa has continued to help support Mims develop self-sufficiency. Trade has been encouraged on a more micro level, as a marketplace was established and fortified immediately outside of the town. More private trades and efforts have led to a booming local market place as smaller homesteaders and travelers seek out resources and riches. Great success also came locally as salvagers in Titusville found a concealed stash of tech parts, bringing home a substantial amount of these supplies.

Turn Stat Changes
-1 Farming Equipment destroyed by fire
-5 Population, -720 Ammunition from raider attack losses
+1 Military Skill from combat
-6 Tech Parts, -420 Ammunition, +300 Scrap Parts from trading and gifts.
+200 Scrap Parts, +12 Tech Parts from Titusville salvaging
-1,000 Scrap Parts, -6 Tech Parts from construction
+30 Population from immigration
-65 Food from consumption
+135 Water from surplus production

Commander’s Challenge: The development of our new marketplace has led to a new problem, the creation of an “aftermarket.” Outside the walls of the registered marketplace, a new group of stalls has emerged of those traders and others who don’t want to register or turn in their weapons. Chems, weapons, and even slaves are allegedly being traded in this market, but at the moment it’s outside the bounds of our responsibility to patrol. Some of our people believe we should clear this market out, but at the same time, its existence has encouraged a larger number of people to participate in the legitimate market too. Should we shoo these unregistered traders away, or let them alone for now?

New Gulf Commonwealth
Spoiler :

The New Gulf Commonwealth has had another strong six months of production and advancement. Substantial efforts were focused upon the construction of new facilities in Vault 77, including the creation of a school to help educate the leaders of tomorrow. Other more practical facilities were geared towards defense such as a forge and an ammunition convertor. These exercises were accompanied by the first major expeditions the Gulf has undertaken in a long time, one to the west and one to the east. The former was targeted at Leesburg, seeking to explore the area through Haines Creek and find out the extent of the region’s arability. The expedition had success, finding an untouched gun store and looting it for a good number of firearms and attached ammunition. The expedition came to a halt when they reached Leesburg, finding a standing independent community. Conversations with the community’s leaders indicated that they had suffered almost as heavily as the Commonwealth in fighting with the spider-ants, and they actually threw a party for our expedition when our role in the spider-ants’ demise was revealed.

The eastern expedition had even more success in its salvage, venturing eastward to the town of Eustis. Unfortunately, surveying the site showed it to not be very valuable for farming or any settlement at all, and it was even empty of any life besides a sparse few radroaches. A failed settlement was found in ruin within the town, apparently home to a few dozen people at one point. Some theorize that this could have been the remnants of the people of Grand Island, but no evidence exists to support that claim. A number of tech parts and guns were salvaged from the abandoned community, and brought back with what scrap could be easily salvaged.

Turn Stat Changes
-300 Food from supply contamination
-2,200 Scrap Parts, -11 Tech Parts from construction
Education changed to General with construction of School
+150 Scrap Parts, +20 1-H Guns, +40 Ammunition from western expedition salvage
+100 Scrap Parts, +6 Tech Parts, +25 1-H Guns, +100 Ammunition from eastern expedition salvage
+800 Food and Water from surplus production

Governor’s Challenge: An emissary of Leesburg has arrived. They claim that they have a dire food and water shortage, and are looking for safety. They have asked to migrate to the vault and join our faction. Our leaders are split on the matter. On one hand the influx of immigrants and supplies could greatly increase our salvage and scouting abilities. Similarly, we have more than enough food and water production to accommodate them all. On the other hand opponents claim that because the Leesburg settlers far outnumber us, they could gain unearned political influence over the affairs of the Commonwealth. How do we respond to this debate, and do we give these struggling settlers access to our newfound vault and security?

Pox Chains Gang
Spoiler :

The Pox Chains Gang now faces disaster, as they run low on both weapons and other supplies. Though a forge was constructed to manufacture some new weapons, the gang faced a major catastrophe. After a major expedition left the premises to try to make it to Tyndall Air Force Base in the west, the main compound in Tallahassee was down half of its weaponry and warriors. This deprives the gang of a good deal of its defense against a raider attack, and a massive army of raiders arrived and attacked. Many were slaughtered in the attack and the compound’s walls were breached and devastated. The survivors managed to barricade themselves in the marble halls of the capital, but the rest of the compound was looted and devastated by the raiders over the course of a week. Eventually they were sated and realizing that the survivors would not exit the stronghold, the raiders left. After cautiously emerging, the survivors found some of their guns had been taken, as well as a small amount of the external food supplies. Fields were burned and livestock were slaughtered, while the raiders through corpses into wells, contaminating them. This destroyed the supply production of the Gang, putting them into a critical position, as their defenses have been razed. To make matters worse, the expedition sent west failed to return, likely lost to the hazards of the Sunshine Wasteland.

Turn Stat Changes
-550 Scrap Parts from construction

+1 Military Skill from combat
-50 Population, -50 Low-Tech Melee Weapons from lost western expedition
+5 Population from immigration
-230 Food and -80 Water from consumption

Boss’ Challenge: We stand at the precipice of complete disaster an annihilation. Our defenses are badly compromised and a major gang of raiders could appear at any moment to put an end to our existence. Our people are badly dispirited and feel that things could not get much worse. While some of our people are advocating staying put and rebuilding, a sizeable group have come forward with an alternative. They have suggested that we have enough supplies for at least a couple years of wandering. They argue that Tallahassee should be abandoned and we should attempt to make our way east, where larger communities are said to exist over the radio. We could find help and supplies, and if we move, the raiders will find nothing should they return to finish off of. Should we leave our place of sanctuary or try to rebuild from our terrible losses?

Saint Vikings
Spoiler :

The Saint Vikings have continued to ride on their high security and position in western Florida, with a massive surplus of food and water aiding their growth. Raiders have avoided the peninsula substantially, allowing the people of the Saint Vikings to grow in peace. Despite the peace, the Overseer remains wary of the possibility of renewed war, and has overseen the construction of new fortifications around Hangarville, helping to protect the most exposed of the young society. Other fortifications were built around Tropicana Field, and restoration work was done to make it back into a usable baseball stadium for games. By June, the first game was played in the stadium, to the resounding cheers of the community. A single expedition was sent out towards the north, looking for an intact crossing of Tampa Bay, but all of the pre-war bridges were found to be thoroughly trashed. They scouted the Clearwater-St. Petersburg Airport, and managed to find a large load of tech parts, but more importantly upon reaching the old town of Oldsmar, they found it occupied by a settlement known as Safe Crossings. They operate a ferry system crossing Safety Bay, and claim that it is the only passage east south of Lake Tarpon. They claim that the northern routes are infested with all sorts of nasty creatures, but state that the cost for a one-way crossing is 5 Ammunition per person. This news was reported to the Overseer, as the expedition returned.

+8 Tech Parts from Clearwater-St. Petersburg Airport salvage
+800 Scrap Parts from St. Petersburg area salvage

Overseer’s Challenge: The vault security chief has put forward a suggestion in which vault dwellers, using concealed melee weapons could overwhelm and seize control of Safe Crossings. He states that gaining control of the crossing would put the Saint Vikings in control of the alleged only crossing into this area. Holding the crossing would allow us to prevent the arrival of any more raiders or unsavory types into our lands. However, some of our people are not eager to invite a war with a friendly group of settlers, and have vehemently opposed such an aggressive plan. How do we respond?

Vanguards
Spoiler :

The Vanguards faced new adversity as raider groups sought to oppress the working class by stealing their hard worked possessions. Congress City faced two moderately sized raider attacks which quickly depleted the faction’s ammunition stockpiles, but fortunately they were repulsed without trashing the community’s fortification system. Also on the home front, a radio tower was constructed to broadcast the word of the revolution to the masses of the Sunshine Wasteland and act as a counter to the capitalist Nasa Radio. This was accompanied by the construction of musical instruments for accompaniment for the broadcasts, bringing revolutionary music into the wasteland. Other activities were created to help appeal to inactive veterans of combat, attempting to help take their minds off the events of the war with the Citizens.

The primary undertaking of the Vanguards, however, was a major expedition to the south, seeking to find more salvage and equipment in other ruined communities. The first stop was Citra, which they found to be populated by giant mutated mosquitos, capable of draining a full sized man of blood in less than five minutes. Thankfully these creatures were not seen too far outside of town, but they were still vicious to fight and left a handful dead before the expedition set fires to ward them off. Quite a bit of salvage and even some abandoned firearms and munitions were found there, as they kept the mosquitos at bay. Fort McCoy was empty of monsters, but also empty of any really significant salvage, having apparently been an outpost of some other community in the past. The expedition concluded their journey at Ocala, where they found an intact and prospering settlement that offered them brief shelter. They were interested to find a Church of the Brotherhood being present, offering welcome faith and guidance to the population. The expedition managed to return home without incident, with their recovered salvage for the stockpiles of the community.

Comrade’s Challenge: Five women have turned up raped and mutilated in the streets at night over the past few months, and this has left our community terrified. “The Butcher” as he has come to be called has left our women in a state of fear, as two of the victims were actually armed guardswomen. The serial killer is still at large, and our people are panicked about the situation, and have turned to Comrade Oscar to solve the crimes or risk greater unrest. How does the Comrade respond?

Vault 40
Spoiler :

The dwellers of Vault 40 suffered tragedy this year when the beloved Overseer Serrano passed away from a prolonged illness. To take his place, he appointed the vault security chief, Elizabeth Finn as his successor. Finn, known as a fearsome fighter said to have killed a giant snake with her bare hands, is believed to be the right woman for the difficult times the vault has been going through. She faced her first challenge when a massive raider force came down US 41, slaughtering would-be immigrants and leaving a trail of destruction in their path. The vault was sealed and the raiders did their best to breach it, but were unable to do much more than destroy the radio tower and remained encamped outside. One night, however, ample screaming and gunfire was heard, and the following morning the vault dwellers found the raiders were either savagely mauled to death or fled into the swamps, likely to find themselves turn quickly into dinner for the wildlife. The weapons and equipment of the raiders was salvaged and brought into the vault’s arsenal.

With this victory of sorts in hand, a major expedition was dispatched to the west towards the nearest large city, Naples, in the hopes of obtaining valuable salvage. When they arrived they found the town is mostly controlled by a large raider group calling themselves the Swamp Snakes, who apparently just recently united warring raider tribes under their banner. The vault dwellers attempted to remain below the radar as they salvaged, finding a good deal of scrap, tech, and even a massive supply of hunting rifles and ammunition. Unfortunately as they were getting ready to depart, they were attacked by the Swamp Snakes, leading to a brief battle as the dwellers escaped. The raiders did not pursue them into the swamps, but there is some concern that they may trace the dwellers to the vault and eventually come after them.

+5 Population from natural growth

Overseer’s Challenge: A faction has developed within the vault that believed that Serrano’s son was a better choice for Overseer, and he’s been encouraging dissent in the process. While he has not advocated a mutiny, there is definitely a risk of revolt should he continue along this path. The overseer’s advisors recommend acting harshly towards Serrano and the other ringleaders, having them imprisoned or executed for treason. Of course, there is the risk that any direct action towards them could spark a revolt preemptively, how do we respond?

Hey,

I agree with your deal. Would 1/3 of all scrap & tech be enough? I accept the honor to have a alliance with Lakeshire. The Atomic Foxes never meant to have Lakeshire as a protectorate for long. I would ask for a few things.

1. That a group of Lakeshire Volunteers be trained in combat & tactics by us to help in the defense of our alliance. I'm sure there is a few who would be willing to learn to defend family, friends & Lakeshire.

2. Allow our Expeditions to launch from Lakeshire.

Allan Westman has always been a man of business, even in a post apocalyptic world where such quality came to be underestimated. The residents of Saint Augustine sympathized with this charismatic figure, and they accepted him in the community. An excellent speaker, of mysterious origins, Allan never had trouble getting attention for himself. In short time, he had the minds and hearts of the youth of the community.

Before a contented people, Allan made them eager for more, inspiring in them a sense of ambition. And after a few years, he disappeared, only to return accompanied by a small group of people, whom he called the Last Executives. With the consent of the majority, the local government was deposed and replaced by what came to be called the New Age Corporation.

There are rumors that Allan and his companions are part of a group of descendants of executives who took refuge during the war, and now desire to return to be as powerful as in the Better Days. However, it is general consent that this matter should be avoided, and that the Corporation does not want anything but the safety of its employees.

Governor's Challenge

Spoiler :
An emissary of Leesburg has arrived.

Governor's Challenge Solution

Spoiler :

Booker Ryan VI stood himself upon the podium in the Assembly Room. He held his hands up for silence.

"Fellow citizens of the Commonwealth, lend me your hearts and your ears! We have before us an a decision to be made. We were once the unwashed masses, huddling in our very own homemade vault, build by my ancestor, who was gifted with forsight and a discerning eye. He saw the depravities of Washington, the slaughter and strife enacted far to the north in Canada. Washington fought the Red Menace, only to become a homegrown menace. So, he built Fort Shackleford; a lighthouse of individualism to stand in stark contrast to the Contrast to Washington's Vault-Tec program. And though the storm of fire we rode on God's providence, and through the centuries we waited, and at last we were able to leave that little arc. And what have we found? The spoils of Washington's husk; one last kick back from our old slave-masters. So we have taken up the reins of self determination, that we might restore our Commonwealth to it's former glory; that we may determine for ourselves what our future may hold, and not some manifested destiny scrawled out by bureaucrats living above and beyond the Common Man whom they are supposed to serve. We were once the unwashed masses, and we have found ourselves, though determination and God's blessings, to be washed, and bring those other unwashed masses under the banner of the NGC. Now, we cannot accept them all at once, for the unwashed are liable to overwhelm and undermine our efforts, though their ignorance and through their lack of foresight. This can be forgiven of them. They know not what they do. However, it is our duty to bring them in. It is our duty to spread out as well. Here is my proposition before you all as Governor of the New Gulf Commonwealth: We permit half of them to relocate themselves to our Vault, so that they might find safety in our ways. The other half remain in Leesburg and will receive assistance from our Vault. We shall use their settlement as a launching location for expeditions, and for beginning of the establishment of a safe zone around this new capital of ours. Leesburg occupies a very strategic location, and would allow for the future expansion of our agricultural abilities in this area. What say you?"

New Gulf Commonwealth Orders (Storied)

"Welcome to Vault 77, the Emerald Vault. Located in the Four-Lakes Region, we offer security and shelter to our citizens. Once you enter pass through the gates, there will be a short presentation on your duties and derived rights. New citizen and their families will be assigned a sponsor family who will assist you in settling in. Every Sunday, after designated optional worship hour, all citizen will receive a mandatory historical educational presentation..."

-------

"Phew, Greg. No more ants, no more janitor duty, no more puppets. Just you, me, a bunch of supplies, 148 other men and women and open road. Just imagine what Leesburg will be like! Do you think they like food?"

"Shut up, Steve. It's bad enough I gotta wear this anti-sketo balm. The smell is giving me a headache and the lovely screech of your voice is only making things worse."

"Ah, Greg don't be such a grumpy you. Enjoy the sun and the chance of meet new people... maybe female people!"

The sound of static fell silent. From the silence emerged an orchestral recording.

After playing, a voice spoke:

"This is Karl Winslow speaking on behalf of the New Gulf Commonwealth. To those of you listening, the Commonwealth greets you one and all. We send our best wishes and hope that wherever you are, you are safe and secure in your person. We hope to establish contact with you in the coming years and urge that you however dark your hour may be, that you stand before the hordes who would claim your life and whatever belonging you may have. We speak out as a beacon of liberty. In the coming hours, we shall make several announcements regarding what our futures may hold, hold a service for those of you whom desire to hear the inspired word of God, and air several songs for you listening pleasure. This broadcast will be played again the two days, at which time, we will air another set of programming. If you are listening, God bless and may God Save The South. This is NGC Radio wishing you all the best. Now, let's hear a quick song done by some of our men here."

New Gulf Commonwealth Orders (Short)

Spoiler :

CHALLENGE

Allow half, or a portion close to half to relocate to the settlement. The remaining half will be told to remain in Leesburg and will receive a shipment of Food, Water, and farming equipment to aid them (delivered by 150 mix of new and old citizens armed with 75 1-h guns and 75 laser weapons). The supply expedition will then explore the region north of Leesburg for scrap. They will then return any scrap or tech to Leesburg to launch an expedition to the south. The focus will be on scrap to improve fortifications in Leesburg. The supply expedition will end the half-year in Leesburg.

At Vault 77, another expedition of 50 mix of old/new will be sent to the southeast to scout and salvage around Tavares and adjoining areas. scrap and tech will be returned to the Vault. (25 Laser, 20 1-h guns, 5 low tech melee)

Vault 77 will build a Radio Tower to communicate with those beyond the territory of the NGC.

First off, I've been in the process of transferring files, but that's all done now, so we're on track to aim for updating on Wednesday. Don't have many (or any) orders yet, so get those in:

To: Atomic Foxes
From: Lakeshire

Your proposals are acceptable, though obviously we cannot guarantee any specific number of volunteers at any point.

To: Saint Vikings
From: Safe Crossings

While we appreciate your noble sentiments, we are fine on our own, and while we will welcome you to stay in our secure waiting area when going to parts beyond, we will not allow the establishment of a permanent base in our area. Similarly, any crossing through our ferry system will still have a cost of 5 Ammunition per person.

To: Nasa
From: State of Daytona

Your proposal is not acceptable, we cannot afford to trade that much of our scrap or ammunition for tech parts at this time. Maybe at some point in the future we can talk it over again, but right now that's too pricey.

@Golden1Knight: Looks good, only thing I could ask form, if you wanted to provide it, would be a background on how the Corporation came to power in St. Augustine. Not required though, and if you don't I'll wing it in the update.

@Tergiversater: Always room for more.

Diplomacy
To: Safe Crossings
From: Saint Vikings

We appreciate that you will allow us to stay in the settlement for scouting purposes. Now I have a somewhat surprising and interesting question to ask of your town. Due to the lack of diversity and friendly competition in the area, we ask of you to organize a baseball team that will compete with our own teams in a Baseball league twice every year, one in April and the other in July, to satisfy the happiness of our peoples. These events will be broadcast over the air via our Radio Tower and become a new sensation in the Sunshine Wasteland.

Edited application.

New Age Corporation Orders

Spoiler :

-Send an expedition of 50 men with 1-H Guns to Saint Augustine Airport. They will search for useful material, especially tech parts. Then they will go to Vilano Beach and Anastasia Island, where they will also search scrap and tech.

-A group of 30 men armed with 15 1-H guns and 15 2-H guns will go to East Palatka, on a reconnaissance mission, but if there is a chance they will also take any item that they find interesting.

@Golden1Knight: Looks like a perfect faction for your future interactions with the peace-loving people of Congress City. You also have contact with the Fellowship of the Palm to the southeast.
