Start position on Earth Map

Does anyone know if the start position on this Scenario is random, or do you always start in North America? I have been playing that map couple of times now, with different civs and difficulties, and I always start in North America.

Besides from that, I really like this Map/scenario. Really nice to be playing on a map you know somewhat how the land looks like. Brings back good memories from CIV I, where I always played the Earth map.

You always start in north america i'm afraid. The earth map in civrev is not fun.

Oh, thats too bad... I guess its like that because its a scenario, and not a "ordinary" map.

Maybe I havent played it enough, since Im still enjoying playing on it
