Hi ! I played Civ Rev in 2008 on 360 and found it fun, very fun...

Civ Rev 2 arrives and i hope real light pleasure in it...

Civ 5 : long and tedious course game ?
Civ Rev 2 : quick and nervous and fun game ?

What the new stuff in Civ Rev 2 ?

For the few i know : new buildings, new leaders, new wonders, but what ?

It would be nice to know all the new stuff in Civ Rev 2 !

:)

Will be squares not Hexes :(

Seen screenshots on a french website...

Never played civ rev, but we know there are new leaders.
Also, new technologies, buildings, units and wonders. Most of this list seems to be stuff that's already in civ5.

Nice, can expecting a deeper Civ Rev 2 the 2 July...

Civ Rev on iPad is 150 Mo file, Civ Rev 2 go to 1 Go file ?

If Civ Rev 2 will have not DLC, aka Premium, its price = 15/20 $ ?

Civ Rev is fun, i just replay, Civ Rev is really fun !

Civ Rev 2 will be surely delicious :)

One change between Console Civ Rev and mobile Civ Rev was that in mobile version there was true unique units and buildings for each faction, not just different names like Spitfire instead of Fighter, but with real abilities as well. Like Greek had Odeon and Hoplite etc.

I wonder if Civ Rev 2 has unique units too ?

I might as well say it this in this thread, since I already did in another one, even if this definitely isn't confirmed.
If I'm understanding correctly, all of the same leaders plus new ones like Churchill and Kennedy means more than one leader per civ is returning from civ4 (source).

I think it is retarted that they would add special unit abilities and buildings but not to console, they never seemed to put much effort in the console version later on especially when it needed to be patched.

Ah, okay, so those two leaders are confirmed as unlockable. I wonder if they're going to have JFK in the normal civ series as a leaderless (I think he was in the intro for bts)

I'm just about through my first play in Civ Rev 2.

Yup, JFK and Churchill are the two new faces and they are unlockable.
There are a small number of new techs (3-4 I think) and I counted four new units (jet fighter, stealth bomber, aircraft carrier, special forces infantry).

So not a HUGE expansion on the first game, besides the different presentation style (angled rather than top-down) and generally more animations through the game e.g. advisors and other civ leaders gesticulating now. And unit control is different as well, since you'd touch your unit destination/action rather than dragging across the screen.

Takes some getting used to!

so the besides a few superficial additions (late game techs, new leaders), the game is exactly like the first? i mean, do the strategies that were posted for the original game still apply for the sequel?

Just downloaded the game. I can't find a full list on the internet, so I'm typing them here - all the new things found in the latest version of CivRev2, as of the 1.4.4 update. Any ambiguities are caused by the original Civilopedia descriptions. Not sure if so many late game additions can actually improve the CivRev experience. :king:

Wow. This is literally the most comprehensive list I've been able to find. Would you say it's worth the money? I have an iPad 3.

As I know there would be expanded version of Civilization Revolution 2 with new Japanese leaders for PS Vita(and I'm sure for iPads in future also), maybe it's better to wait for it if you have PS Vita.
