Congratulations to you and your son.

CB's skip brings Rat up, but he's in Hong Kong until Friday or so. If it develops that I can play a useful amount during the week, I'll do that and then finish on the weekend. But if I can't get around to the game by Wednesday, which is probably the likelier outcome, I'll just leave it for Rat to take up when he returns.

I played a couple of turns last night, but I'm not sure if I'll have time to play again tonight -- I have the HOF PBEM turn to play. Either way, I can post the save before I go to bed.

Take back Warsaw that deposed us, take Kalisz and Poland is down to 1 city

Take Falun and Orebro, the last viking city on our continent
2 cities on a small Island are left and will be attacked next turn

move in with a big stack at Tula to attack next turn
we gain a GA, which gives us easy access to take on the next target, the Aztecs

IT we gain a MGL when Vikings attack us from the sea
Portugal and Aztec sign MPP, guess we will have a few more enemies soon
Portugal and France declare war on us due to the MPPs

Turn 7 1790AD
we take Helsingborg and Vaxjo and Vikings are gone :)

on to the Aztecs, we capture Tula with ease, from there we liberate Texcoco but need to remove 6 defenders
removing a lawyer cum garrison on a mountain, we lose our last missionary, but gain a GA with the next attack

while removing some stray units, we gain another GA, which will comes very handy during this campaign


IT Aztecs now muster a bunch of units trying to get close to us

Turn 8 1791AD
take Malinalco, clear the area of the many Aztec unit, gain a MGL, rush a rax with it
culture bomb Malinalco to gain access to Xochi, which we capture
culture bomb it, take Cempoala and Tzin, taking away the whole western Aztec part

IT Aztecs come with 2 bigger stacks which we will need to whittle down first

Turn 9 1792AD
work on two stacks that could attack our cities with cavs, leave the other stack alone
we better wait for hotchkisses before attacking the capital

reduce science to 0%

IT Italy and Russia sign MPP, India and Spain do the same. lots of war declarations
Aztecs bring forward more stuff
we get combustion, set research to electricity for now

Turn 10 1793AD
capture off location Teayo
found Baltimore in order to progress towards Aztecs

manage to capture Teotihuacan

take out 2 stacks and attack upgrade the cavalry to hotchkisses (in the capital)

We have one GA near our capital, I guess with all the upgrades, we can attack the Aztec capital next turn
the steamroller should gain some speed now

We're already close to completing the conquest of our continent--in terms of turns, if not work. So our Canadian coastal cities facing India should rush the infrastructure projects they're on at the moment, and then immediately start building/rushing the large transport fleet we'll need for our invasion of the other continent.

Building the Statue of Liberty in Hovd was a great idea of Greebley's--I've rarely seen such a commerce city.

CB, would you like to play in the next few days, or did you want an outright skip? On the whole I'd rather not take the game until at least Friday (June 29), since I'll be busy until then. With my summer unavailability approaching my next round is likely to be my last in this game, and I'd like to have the time to make a worthy contribution.

I had been building Town Clocks, Railyards, and Light Industry. Academies are also helpful, and happy buildings should go up as needed to keep citizens working tiles.

I think it depends, though -- cities past Old Mongolia can probably all go into science farm mode.
 
Just flatten everything in front of you until you get tired, basically. :lol: The only fine point of planning important at the moment is that we need to make a good start on our invasion fleet for the other continent during your round. So all our Canadian coastal towns facing India should rush their infra builds right now--waiting for normal completion would be hopelessly slow--and get started on steamers and steam frigates, probably short-rushing many of those as well.

Academies aren't a bad build now, being cheap, but production boosters are more important. We could win this game without researching anything after AT/fast settlers.

For sounding so tough at the start this one is now reading like the earlier ones. Tons of time to play, but the game is already won. Really don't see how you guys can lose this one.

The initial rush would be hard. How about AWE?
 
I sometimes do play AWDG but without those nasty settings. It's really tough and depends a lot on the starting position. Rome is the best suitable candidate for such a game due to its early barracks and the starting techs giving you enslavers pretty soon.

I think even AWE with the unlimited setters for the AI would be a huge mountain to climb.
