Hopeless Situation Warrior
You radicals need to learn to not throw stones, since America is a glass house on the verge of collapse.
Welcome to RandNES 2: A Glass House Divided! This NES is set in the wildly popular IAAR America: Write Your Own History, which is still active but a little bit ahead chronologically of this NES. This NES is set in 1928 AD, in an alternate history of America where communists have just won the national elections because of the last-minute addition of another communist. This tipped the balance of the election and won communist megalomaniac William Z Foster the election. Foster’s victory plunged an already tense America into chaos, with capitalists threatening secession and assassinations. You will take control of any sort of person in the US at the time, whether it be politician, soldier or secessionist, and direct the future of America!
Character Format (note: only fill out Name, Career, and political loyalty):
Name: The name of your character
Career: What your career is. Some choices include: Congressman, general, factory manager, corporation owner, secessionist leader.
Money (saved): How much money you have saved. The starting amount depends on what career you started with.
Income: Your income per month. Also depends on what career you started with.
Political loyalty: List the party that you’re loyal to. There are 3 parties (democrat, socialist, and communist) in addition to secessionist. The entire political spectrum is much farther left than our political spectrum, with the communist party being pretty self-explanatory, the democrat party being center-left irl, and the socialist party (the moderate party) being somewhere in between. If you’re seceding, than write “secessionist” here.
Political influence (government): This represents how much influence you have in the government listed. For now, the only option is the US government (if you’re seceding, then it’s 0), but once other governments pop up, then your political influence can rise there. The starting political influence is also determined by your career. Political influence ranges from 0 to 100, where 0 is no power, 25 is a little bit of power- ie you can advise and make a small impact on what happens, 50 is the power to vote on laws or make higher-level judicial verdicts, 75 is control of most of or all of 1 branch of government, and 100 is total control of the government.
Military power: Unless you’re a general or commanding a high executive office, this will be 0. This represents how much military power you’re able to command. This is a number from 0 to 100, with 0 being no power, 25 being indirect power (ie the ability to vote on a war), 50 is a moderately powerful military command, 75 is being a high ranking general, and 100 is for the head of the military or a militaristic dictator.
Backstory: Provide a backstory on your character's background and goals. This should be at least a paragraph or two, but it can be longer.
Expected Questions:
What’s the deal with orders and how they’re submitted?
Orders will be submitted by PM, with your spending and any other actions that are non financial, such as writing a bill, submitting a petition, or ordering troops. Roleplaying is also encouraged. The time scale of orders is every two months there is an update, and the NES starts in November 1928.
When will we know the rest of the statistics?
Once everyone's signed up, I will make an Update 0 with all of your stats and stuff. The main reason why I'm not letting you guys do that now is to prevent powergaming. Keep in mind that if you try to powergame too much with your description, I will request that you tone down your character.
You may now post!
