Earth Map question (Have they wasted potential?)

I can't believe it took me this long to get around to playing a Huge-sized Earth-map. But I finally did, and I've never had more fun in Civ.

But what I want to know is: Is there any way to have Civs start in their historically accurate areas of Earth? I would love to start a game with Polynesia and actually be in the middle of the Pacific, but I wouldn't know how to do that. I've tried five starts with Polyneesia, and I'm having some fun with a Labrador start (I'm pretending I'm the Intuit), but I' dreally like real-world starts...

I barely slept last night. The mod was THAT good. It's not just what I wanted, it's MORE than what I wanted. The Earth is even HUGER!

I took Polynesia, started in ACTUAL Hawaii, and now I'm well into a massive sprawling Oceania small-city ICS.
