We are interested in possibly investing in your Panama Canal project, as it is a great and worthy project, sure to bring much wealth to your nation. but to us, the reduced fares are simply not worth the significant investment, as our navy is small and what little seaborne trade we have rarely leaves the Indian ocean.
would you consider accepting a loan from us instead? we are willing to put forward 80EP toward it over the next to years, should you agree to pay back the 80 with 10% interest in 8 installments of 11EP after the canal's construction is complete.

We can agree to this, with the caveat that we reserve the right to repay the same amount, but within a shorter time frame, should that be fitting to our situation at the time.

To United States.
hmm, perhaps a flat fee of 1EP per year it takes to repay the loan, starting upon the receipt of the second half of the 80EP, with a minimal payment of 2 EP, and the total loan to be repaid within no more then 8 years.
We will prepare the first half, 40EP, of the loan for your use immediately, and the second half should arrive early next year.
we hope for the continued prosperity and glory of our nations.

,
That's a rather complicated setup. We'd be content paying [11 EP] a year at minimum until the loan is payed off, but reserve the right to pay more than that a year and pay it off quicker, should we desire. You'll still receive the [88 EP] owed to you either way.

You're welcome to send half ([40 EP)] now, and half next year.

This is the 24 hour warning until orders are due. As stated before, failure to get in orders will result in your nation claim being dropped. I will accept a PM saying that you can't get orders in. It's not like ya'll haven't had plenty of warning though.

To start, this is the offiical 12 hour warning to get those orders in.

Now a few quick notes: I will accept name changes for the colonies listed at any time. Also, if you want the larger colonies in some of your possessions divided into smaller chunks, just ask, I'll be happy to provide that information, assuming you provide the districts to be created.

A small thing to hold ya'll over for a bit, the 1900 Olympic Results straight from Athens in the Roman Empire, every player nation gets one vote towards where the next Olympics takes place:

The United States of America would like to congratulate all the great American athletes who placed in the Olympic games.

We vote for Madrid, Spain, to be the host of the next Olympic Games.

OOC: Second-best to Poland... EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!

Brazil didn't place in anything? I figure we would have better athletes than Georgia.

Brazil votes for London in 1904.

The Spanish Emperor congratulates all of our magnificent athletes, that brought glory to themselves and their nation by winning those medals with their effort and sacrifice.

The Spanish Committee will not vote on any city, but we would like to make it known that, if we had to vote for any city that was not Madrid, we would vote for the city of London. vote for the city of Madrid, Empire of Spain

EDIT: We think that the nations whose cities are being nominated should not take part of the voting.

Poland votes for Oslo.

King Augustus IV is extremely proud of the Polish athletes, and wishes everyone luck in 1904's games.

ooc:
Javelin Throw
Gold: Spain
Silver: Peru
Bronze: Poland

That actually makes quite a bit of sense.

Anyway, have a chart:

The United Kingdom votes for London, UK to be the site of the 1904 Olympic Games.

Flanders abstains from this vote.

The Confederation votes for Paris.

The Confederation would also like to announce that we have ordered the reinforcement of our Chinese colony with extra troops, because we believe the troops currently there to be completely insufficient for its defence; this move is not intended as a reflection on the trustworthiness of any of our colony's several neighbours, and is a purely defensive measure.
