thanks, time to slightly amend my orders.

Oh, and Christos: nothing personal, but Renfair doesn't want to get involved in entangling alliances overseas. We will offer free trade however.

USSR accepts.

The Glorious Emperor of the Horn, King of the Five Lands, Lord of the Five Colonies, Patron of the Somali Race, Protector of the Ethiopian People, and Father of Order in the Horn of Africa, Hussein Salad Ahmed III, has ordered the following announcement. Most Regal Alliance of Crowns

This Alliance would be a network connecting the various states of the world with a Monarch at any level of governmental power. It would include the following provisions, subject to revision by members consensus at a later date.

1) That all members agree to protect their Royal Cousins from such evils as Republican Uprisings*, Socialist Coups, and Terrorist Plots.

2) That all members agree to aid each other, whether economically or militarily during times of war with a non-member.

3) That all members agree to keep trade flowing between their borders, without embargoes or blockades by one member against another.

*Not pertaining to any nation with a monarch AND an established Republican form of government, such as a Constitutional monarchy.

As the premeir monarchies of the world, the Empire of the Horn invites Yamato, the Kingdom of New Britain, and the Empire of the Setting Sun, and any other monarchies..

Jehoshua you need to look at this.
filli_noctus you need to look at this.

OOC: Tambien, must you write his full title every time?
Oh, that's not even CLOSE to his full title. Feel lucky it's that little. :nya:

No seriously, you know what's coming, so just skip it and get to the meat of the message.

The Empire of Yamato is uncertain as to whether to join this proposed allegiance, especially when the Empire of the Horn has made it clear through its UN propositions that it is ideologically in stark contradiction to the deepest values of the Yamato people and our divine Emperor.

Yamato will forever oppose any Gaijin nation that would impose their values on the Yamato nation and our unique culture.

Let us make it clear to you that the bill was not targeted at the Yamato people. Indeed. It was only made to ensure equality of citizens, not rulers. Why would the Empire destroy its own Emperor, whom we so need?

"The Emperor, despite some reservations, accepts."
Good to know.

New Britain believes an alliance should be based on stronger ties than form of government. We must therefore respectfully decline this offer.

The British Pact
I propose that the three nations of British origin (England, New Britan, and New England) agree to this pact, which states:
1. The three nations involved shall have mutual free trade pacts.
2. The three nations involved shall be allied and have mutual defensive pacts.
3. The three nations involved shall have a Mutual Research Pact, so that we share our discoveries and remain equal.
Signed, Samuel II, King of England

New England, your response?

Just making sure... You know New England isn't actually of British origin, right?

There is a reason it's called New England. Because it was settled by the English. In fact, there was a colony in Maine before there was one in Virginia - Popham colony. The harsh winter, sadly, caused its failure. So, New England is more British than Virginia. ;)

Earlier today, the National Assembly passed a motion of no confidence, in an effort to remove sitting Prime Minister Elend Rami from power. The motion has received unanimous support from the opposition coalition, who have been extremely vocal in their calls for Rami to step down in the wake of the Tabriz Crisis*. "The Prime Minister's handling of the incident proves that he is in no way capable of keeping the nation safe during a true crisis" opposition leader Behez Mutki restated in front of a packed Assembly Hall. "It is time for a new leader, one with practical experience, to takes the reins."

It is unlikely that President Jihan Botani will call for the dissolution of Parliament, as it would most likely result in a massive loss of power for the PJP. Analysts believe that the most likely approach that the President will take will be to select a moderate from the National Centrist Party to try and establish a working government. Right now, the most likely candidate appears to be Assemblymen Behez Sindi, a moderate whose bipartisan approach to politics would go far to appease both the opposition and the ruling coalitions. In addition, Assemblymen Sindi's experience in the army as brigadier general may be what this nation needs in light of the current global climate.

Spoiler Tabriz Crisis :
The Tabriz Crisis occurred during the winter of 2222 ad. Intelligence reports mistakenly identified several suspicious objects in the Theocratic State of Tabriz as nuclear arsenals. In a hasty and rash move, Prime Minister Rami ordered a large scale mobilization of the nation's reserves, as well as a small scale draft. However, a fly over of Tabriz reveled the structures to not be of an offensive nature. It is believed that the satellite that photographed the structures had been damaged by space debris. However, it is still a mystery why the National Intelligence Agency did not take further steps to confirm the true nature of these structures.

I've finally added some info about my nation

Pardon? Last I checked, we shared the same culture (unless you forget history), and women can rule the nation of England (therefore the title of Queen).
