How to know who is Tech Leader?

I've always won (or lost) all my games before reaching future tech in Civ V.

No theres a score for "technology" and one for "future technology" that is a 0 until future technology is unlocked I think Jon! I do hesitate to disagree with you given your knowledge but unless the menu is bugged that's what it says!

Is there a way to find out how many beakers a civ producing other than mods such as infoaddict? At least an estimation?

Don't think so - apart from putting spies in all their cities.
