Has anyone created or found a sountrack for Alpha Centauri and/or the expansion Crossfire?

I couldn't find one after searching for a few minutes. Although it's a long shot, you might send a PM to Lazarus Plus. She indicated in this 2006 thread that she might create one (and she's still active on CFC).

Is it possible to transfer the soundtrack from BE into SMAC?
Given that the music is the only thing in BE that is better than SMAC (to be fair, its a lot better - pretty epic in fact).

I don't see any easy way to do this. The sound files in the two games are in different formats and there appear to be many more sound files in SMACX than in CivBE. Perhaps you could extrct the CivBE mp3 files to a portable device and listen to them while playing SMACX with the sound turned off?
