WW2 Unit Graphics

er what do you mean makes you wanna go back to the Burma scenario   I thought we were making these planes for a reason......

Anyway, nearly done with my quota. The Ki-48 and 51 are painted with special low-visibility camo at the moment ;)

Great units Gareth! The Hayate and the Ki-100 are particulary amazing. :)

Btw, here are some minor tweaks of your ships into IJN surface vessel classes.

I was able to recover my files from my old hard drive. :) So, I'll get to work on finishing Burma Campaign. I've incorporated Tanelorn's great Ki-21 and Gareth's Ki-49, both of which served in Burma. Thanks to you both.

I hesitate to ask, but would you be willing to update the paint job on the Ki-27? Attached is the scheme used in Burma in 42. Thanks.

Congratulations! Very nice units! I hope to use in many scenarios...
Saludos

And I'm very happy that Techumseh is going to do another one of his incredible scenarios...

Yup no problem.

Apologies to Tanelorn as he's already drawn an N1K2 George, but I wanted to draw its twin bro the N1K1 floatplane fighter, and the N1K2 was directly derived from it so I ended up making one of them as well....

No worries. Yours is a masterpiece, in fact I'd urge you to do even more. :)
The floatplane Zero A6M2-N comes to mind.

Besides, its worth just to watch how you do it. For example I also noticed and did the curvature line on the side afterwards, but yours better thought out. Do you just brush it down or do you lighten/ darken the curve and push pixels from there?

Thanks Tim :)

Do you mean the fill between the trailing edge of the wing root and the fuselage? I guess I drew it like the rest of the plane, so I make a general shape in blocks of colour with the brush on 100% opacity then blocks of high and lowlights in appropriate places. Next I'd blending and painting, so I set the brush to 25% opacity and paint in blends between hi and lo lights and the base colour. Bit laborious but it works.

Maybe we need a guide thread so we can illustrate with pics....

Great job!
25%.
That figures, it takes more time (lots of repeat passes I guess) but it gives more control.
I never go that low, that's why I get more flat surfaces.
