Changing Initial Player Resources

amongst the seasoned modders, I hope someone has an answer to this question:

How would I go about changing the number of ships and colonists that the players start with? I'd like to change the speed of the initial phase of the game by 'up gunning' the initial colonisers. I'm aware that your could just change the start era, but I'm after something more 'tweakable' than that.

Thanks for anyhelp, and thanks to those involved in R&R - I'm still a regular player of the game.

Search for:
<FreeUnitClasses>

Is should be self explanatory.
Just try a little. :thumbsup:

Otherwise come back to this thread.

There are other possibilities as well, like a Python Event that gifts Units when founding your first city.
But adding FreeUnits in XML should be easiest for a beginner.
