Does anyone else know how we can access Tom Chick's walkthrough of FFH? I was using it to get people interested in the game, and it's what initially got me really excited to try this mod out.

Perhaps someone else is able to post the same content? Because I just think it was really useful for getting other people interested in FFH.

Here is the link that is posted over at Kael's website:

It says that Fidgit is down, and it seems like it's gone for good :(

I never even heard about it

:aargh: Above link doesn't work anymore!

Thank you from the depths of my soul!

Is this mod still even somewhat active, by any chance? I just discovered it, and it is amazing. Higher quality than a studio-made game and more original than any other mod I know of (I would never have thought of the hawks acting as aircraft!).

Most welcome.
Kael is now the VP of Stardock, and they are now working on Galactic Civilizations 3. Modmods are still being developed, but you don't see too many active users nowadays.
I completely agree, this is easily the best mod I have ever played. The storyline is the most praiseworthy feature. I would give anything to play a post-Age of Rebirth scenario.

try my sig.

was originally a modmod for FFH (wildmana), but is a lot more developed now. Forum activity is down on civfanatics because we have our own.

FFH itself has not been in active development for years.

The More Naval AI mod-mod is still being worked on. It was originally what its name suggests, but has grown well beyond just smarter naval AI stuff. A new version was released in October.

The Magister Modmod is also still active. It uses the DLL from More Naval AI but it is intended to be more "FFH-like" than even FFH itself, if that is possible (sticking to the actual lore of the FFH world, whereas most of the other mod-mods add to it or change it).

Some of the others are being worked on to varying degrees, at least intermittently, either officially or as add-ons to otherwise inactive mod-mods. I'm not sure which are currently active or to waht degree.

This link preserves more of the original pictures and formatting of his walkthrough. Great stuff:

It even retains the lack of a link on Part 2. Here is the link to Part 3: https://web.archive.org/web/2010011...es/2008/12/fall_from_heaven_ii_send_in_th.php

And here is the December 2008 archive which contains most of the articles: https://web.archive.org/web/20100201212049/http://fidgit.com/archives/2008/12/index.php
