Alright, I started a game with random civ and shuffle map, and I got Ghengis Khan. I went for animal husbandry and all the horse resources are 3 or 6, not 2 or 4 like im used to. Does anybody know why this is?

Do you have abundant resources on? It increases the number in each strategic resource.

That's what i was wondering about. With shuffle map type there wasn't a choice for the resources, so did it randomly pick it?

I typically have 2 or 6 resource piles. I never change the default option. It may depend on map type?
