Installing on Win XP

Hi, there.

I've played Wildmana 8.0+ without a hitch in Win 7.

Now I've tried to install in a different, more powerful computer, but running on Win XP. Both version 8.0+ and 9.0b give the same result.

The game loads and I see the image of the starting screen, but no menu. It appears to me the software hasn't crashed - the song goes on and it seems to react with some data processing when I click somewhere on the screen or push Enter. But I can't see the menu.

BtS is 3.19 and running well. I've started a BtS game with "Play Now" and then tried again, with the same result.

Any insights?

make sure to:
-have bts patched to 3.19
-download and install both the 8.0 base version and 8.x patch
-set language to english in vanilla bts and try loading wildmana with load a mod
-install it in the default directory
-have the latest drivers for your harware

well that is all i can think of now :/

Thanks, tesb

I searched the forum before posting but didn´t find that thread. As to your suggestions, the only one I didn´t as default was installing to the default directory... will try, thanks.
