JFD's Rise to Power

After some extensive testing, I came to the conclusion that it was the beta community patch that was causing the problem. But if I use the non-beta one, the Rise to power and CID don't work. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

There is no "beta" version of CPP anymore as far as I know, Gazebo's been updating the "official" version for a while now (since few new features are being added).

Some compatibility issues are behind this, I'm getting "MODS\JFD's Cities in Development (v 45)\Shared\Lua\UI\Overrides\ToolTips\InfoTooltipInclude.lua:1895: attempt to call method 'GetCorporationYieldChange' (a nil value)" lua errors.

I'd say let's wait for his Modjesty to appear and save his poor citizens :)

There is definitely a Beta version, it was posted yesterday. Plus if you look at this mods main post it says it requires the Beta version, and that can't be outdated cause it was updated recently.

:), I think I agree

Official CP is causing CTDs - known issue, is being worked on.

Something I've been noticing a lot. It seems like cities are way too likely to work the specialists for this mod (at least in CBO). I had a 7 pop city working both magistrate slots ignoring high-yield tiles. It seems like that if there is a magistrate to work it's almost guaranteed to be worked. Monks are not as bad but still causing 8 food, 5 Gold, 1 Culture, 2 Faith tiles to be ignored. Dignitaries I haven't noticed that much since I usually have all my cities on manual by that time because of the magistrates and monks.

I swear I removed all those old references to Corps. (which Gazebo removed in the earliest June CP), but I'll look again. Probably try and do a bug-fix update next week for CP comp. Trying to get as much of Sov. done atm.

To show (and to probably torture :p) albie that I am working on Sovereignty despite some trouble moving it along quickly:

Spoiler :

What catches my eyes is the leader of Spain and his portrait.:p

I'll try with latest CP update, and will be trying to narrow the problem down.

Update: still getting the same error with newest version, but take your time your Modjesty

This is the sentence, that makes me immune for any bugs and comp. issues :mischief:

*praising of the Emperor intensifies*

Interesting bug: Due to Mercenaries removing the tech prereq for Landshnekts, UUs that use SELECT will become starting units. FYI to anyone to whom this may be relevant.

Calling all Imperial Subjects! Calling all Imperial Subjects!

The Empire requires your assistance. To move Sovereignty forward, the Emperor asks for your help!

In Sovereignty, each Leader has a disposition toward each of the 8 Reform Categories. This influences what Reforms they might take in a given game. These are handled by a flavour rating - a 1 to 10 value that determines how Leftest, Centrest, or Rightest that leader is. If anyone can help fill out this spreadsheet, that will be an immense help! Thanks :D

So after about 5 hours of researching each leader individually and applying their appropriate attributes I am finally finished. I did the best I could to try to accurately apply the traits to each leader and my accuracy I believe is nearly impeccable (for the most part, maybe a 1% margin room for error, I made sure I got this right... trust me ;) ). Hopefully this helps you with the progression of Sovereignty and speaking of which, how much farther do you have to go? Do you think it will be out possibly within the next few days? I'm excited for its release, if you can't tell :).

Wow! Stellar work :D It is thus my duty, as Emperor, to dub thee Sir Daniel Empire, and to anoint you an Imperial Knights of the Realm!

Heh, next few days is too much to hope for. But as Sir Kesler can confirm, Sovereignty has been my primary focus for the better part of a week, and I have completed so much. At this point, there are four main things to go: the Reforms themselves (the basic stuff is there, but I need to finish the Religion and Foreign categories, and to polish everything), the Oligarchic and Parliamentary Legislatures (just the extremists to implement; everything else about the Legislatures are done), the AI (dreaded), and explanations (such as pedia entries, and tidying up tooltips). Once I'm done with the last two Legislatures, I'll post some screenshots so that people can get a feel with how they work, as well as I can get a feel as to whether or not I've explained how they work well enough.

Thank you so much for compiling these flavours, Sir Daniel! This saves me a tremendous amount of time :D

I haven't been able to find an existing discussion on this (maybe I've been unlucky on search terms) but I'm running into a strategic problem. I'm using RtP and I've allowed my Piety level to drop to 0 (Heretical). My capital is now the only one of my cities to have my religion, and whenever I send out missionaries they can't seem to increase the follower levels of neighboring cities as fast as it decays.

So, am I just boned, or is there a technique to build up my Piety, and the ability to spread my religion within my borders again? Chalk it up to being unfamiliar with the mod, but I'm not sure what the standard methods of maintaining Piety are. I spread my religion when I could, I built shrines everywhere, I built temples when i could (perhaps a bit late). But I still slipped from the top of the scale to the bottom over time, with not much seeming to move it upwards. Probably missing something very basic but would appreciate any advice offered :)

The main way is through spreading your religion to other civs/city-states, or by fulfilling the conditions of your first follower belief. What are your follower beliefs? You can also take one of the policies from the Piety tree, if you have enough Faith to spend on units/buildings, which rewards Piety (only good for the capital at this stage, obvs).

You won't be able to spread your religion internally until you can pick up your Piety level.

Oh look, I have someone worthwhile to say on the forums :3

Are you certain and set with the code in regardes to leader flavor and Civ support? The sooner moders can add support in, the better. Less updating after the fact.

Welcome to the ranks Sir Daniel :D:

You can also build inquisition in cities

No problem mighty Emperor! Anything for the glory of the Empire! :king:

Your welcome, I'm not good for coding much (my xml skills are equivalent to that of a console player trying to play on PC for the first time) but I have a knack when it comes to history so if you guys ever need any help I'm willing to contribute to the community.

Dw - Kesler was pointing that bit at JFD, not you. We aren't enslaving the populus outsourcing yet :p
