What does it mean when you take of a barbarian village and it says there are 1 or 2 ancient artifacts still undiscovered?

I don't really know how to explain it any clearer than what the barbarian village states. Each game has some ancient artifacts in it. There are different ancient artifacts in the game, I'm not going to explain them here, look at Civilopedia for that.

each game has artifacts hidden in the world somewhere. every time a civilization discovers one, they gain the bonus associated with it, and the artifact is used up. if a village says that there is one left, that means there is an unclaimed artifact that you can still go find and get the bonus.
it means that there are 2 more relics yet undiscovered yet. It might doesnt make alot of sense to use 2 deferent names or people are bound to be confused. Heres a page of all the relics/artifacts.
