Israel, Philistines and Biblical Civilizations

Oh, I thought you were actually asking for tutorials. Well, I'm truly busy with personal projects right now, that's the biggest issue... however, if I manage to help somehow, I will :D

When will you be not busy? I simply historian these two countries industry exactly (Ukrainian). I would help you, you asked as though, could that. + If it is needed, and to give a money. For us simply does not do such modiv beautiful, as for you. If you to do many countries of Latin America. Why eastern Europe, 2 are countries, not to do you. Forgive for bad English.

:p , no no money needed. Seriously though, there are some interesting ideas, so as I said, I'll do it when I get the time... However, I announced a many lot of civs for Patria Grande, and I'd rather get some of those of the way because I announced them (also, I'm no longer on vacation)... So don't worry, I may get to them eventually...

-----------------------------------

So... I'm planning on updating Israel soon, and with some little changes:

UA: The promised land: Receive a free Holy Temple on your Capital. Great Prophets increase nearby units' combat like Great Generals. Receive a free Rabbi in your cities (+3 :c5faith:, +3 :c5greatperson: Great Prophet points).
UU: Maccabee: Stays the same.
UB: Yeshiva: Receives rabbis instead of scientist. Upon building your first Yeshiva, Rabbis yield +3 science.

So the Super Rabbi will be no more and replaced with a Rabbi that just gives a base amount of science?

Well yeah, Super Rabbis were truly never intended (+8 science with 4 yeshivas for each rabbi was madness), so instead, the Rabbis in all cities will all yield +3 science (aside from the faith and GP points) when building the first Yeshiva. This also makes Israel focus a bit more as a tall empire rather than wide (they don't need many cities to make good use of the UB)

I knew the Supprr Rabbis weren't intentional. I was making sure I understood what you were doing with them.

I think the updates are good! Hope to see the new version soon.
So yeshiva no longer adds +2 science&faith to desert tiles?

Quite good. Pretty cool how you created a whole new specialist for this Civ. I wonder why Firaxis never made a Priest specialist? hmm... Anyway, really cool-looking mod.

Thanks, if so. It would be a dream if the two countries ... and these. I'd help you if necessary. :)

I've really been enjoying this civ. If I wrote a strategy guide for them, I think the first line would be "Get Petra and Desert Folklore". This, combined with the Yeshivot (plural of Yeshiva), turns the desert-dwelling Israel into a powerhouse civ.

One problem I've found is that you cannot purchase Yeshivot with Faith if you get Jesuit Education, which puts a damper on Israel being a religion/science civ.

Yeah, Jesuit's Education issue is annoying. I may have to do it so when you purchase an University with Jesuit's Education you get a Yeshiva, I don't think I have another idea to solve it.

Anyway, the Fall Patch will come next week, so I'll be updating all of my mods now that Music will be modular! (will no longer need to be installed :crazyeye: )

So, for Israel these are some of the planned changes (there's still time to change my mind about some things.

Israel:
  • Music will now be modular
  • New Music: I want to find some new Peace and War music. What I want is something similar to what you listen on Epic jewish movies, more orchestral but still with a jewish feel. If anyone has suggestions I'd gladly hear them.
  • Will try to fix the Jesuit Education issue as mentioned.
  • There is an issue that is preventing to increase the Great Prophet counter with the Rabbi specialist. I'll try to find a way of fixing it. If I can't fix it, rabbis will simply not generate prophets, generating 1 point more of faith instead.
  • I want to include something more on the UA, but I want opinions:
UA: Promised Land: +1 Faith from Pastures and Plantations. Cities and some religious buildings receive a Rabbi Specialist (+2 Faith and work towards Prophets), Prophets increase nearby units Combat Strenght

So, opinions? I specially want opinions on the UA and music.

I can't get it to work without BNW. I don't have BNW and the G+K version still says it isn't compatible.

That's odd... Will test and see what could be causing it...

At any rate, peace music, anyone?:

Amazing work! The only thing I'd say is that some of the textures are bit off and the bg is a tad blurry - but other than that mate - I'm thoroughly blown away.

yeah this is version 1. As I keep messing with leaderhead models I'll learn more and improve this. I already plan to change the hair, beard, robe, and add a sword.

as for the blur it may be that I used some montezuma effects but its also the drawing Leugi gave me. If he has one that is not blurry i'll update it.

thx!

Yes, Ekmek, congratulations on creating the first custom 3D Leader! Really pleased to see the work I did on Nexus Buddy 2 put to good use. I hope we'll see many more new leaders in the future...
