As you may know, civilization iv will not run from the disc on windows 10 because it no longer has the drm software. This is a way to fix that issue and play again.

Download the .rar file and extract it. There are posts saying how to do this but my .rar file has all the things you need bundled together.
It contains:
- READ ME.txt (This is the instructions only)
- Patch - Civilization4.exe
- Civ4Patch1.74_Final.exe
- d3dx9_31.dll
- d3dx9_32.dll
EDIT: THIS WILL ONLY WORK FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE DVD GAME BECAUSE IT REQUIRES YOU TO INSTALL THAT FIRST. THIS POST IS NOT ENABLING PIRACY OF THE GAME, ONLY FOR LEGITIMATE USERS TO BE ABLE TO USE A GAME THAT THEY HAVE PAID FOR AND THAT MICROSOFT STOPPED SUPPORTING.
