Orion's Grand Inquisition

An important update to the OGI Patch file has been released.

New fixes include:

1. Fixed Ice Breaker SDK problem for determining the nearest city.

2. Fixed Python problem to restrict Mystery Wonders based upon Era.

3. Adjusted Flame Thrower Combat settings vs Armor and Helicopters.

4. Fixed XML code to allow the Religious Victory movie to execute.

5. Fixed sound problem for missing NoSpread.wav file.

See first page for link to the download.

You also left in the code for the no longer used DCM GlobalDefines.xml entries (in CvGlobals.cpp). I'm suprised you didn't get any unresolved externals from that. My new v2.3 eliminates all of those Defines like yours and removes the corresponding code.

Found out that attack support is like opportunity fire that assists other units that are attacking or defending.

Stack attack is just buggy. There is a link from RevDCM, that I merged, that says something like: The following line is the source of stack attack CTDs. I also noticed it always freezes the game when I have quick attack and stack attack enabled and then attack the enemy.

I'm waiting for your release of DCM 2.3 to address those entries in CvGlobals.cpp.

very nice ov.

Thanks. :) The development of OGI 3.00 achieved over 90% of my stated goals. One of which is the migration of Mine Warfare to the SDK and an AI that knows how to place and hunt mines effectively. The other revolutionary idea is the capability to obtain an additional trait for each era. OGI 3.00 is truly a real success story and you might find it very addictive. :D

Thanks you OrionVeteran ! It's a great mod : rich, stable, fast :)

You are very welcome! Note: You have encapsulated our major goals and achievements:

1. Rich: A mod that is filled with lots of variety and strategic choice (i.e. units, buildings, wonders, techs and resources). Best of all are the unique capabilities found only in OGI (Mine Warfare and the acquisition of 7 additional traits from the Mystery Wonders).

2. Stable: A mod that provides reliable game play that you can count on. Debugging took 5 months.

3. Fast: A mod that replaced python callbacks with SDK functions to increase speed and performance; partucularly with mine warfare.

I successfully merged the Specialist Enhancements mod by Supercheese into OGI 3.00. This mod allows specialists to affect a city's Health and Happiness. The attributes of the city specialists will be revised to the following standard:

The sum Values for all city specialists (except the Citizen, and Great General) will be 7.

Standard city specialist get 3 for the birth rate increase and two or three other attributes that add up to 4 for a total of 7.

Great Specialists get no more than two attributes that add up to 7.

The total number for any standard specialist in a city is capped at 13: 10 from regular buildings and 3 more from Wonders.

For example:

Doctor: 2 :health: + 2:science: + 3 :gp: Birth rate = 7

Great Doctor: 5 :health: + 2:science: = 7

This creates a very nice balance for all specialists in the game.

Testing is under way and I expect to release a new OGI patch soon.

OGI Patch has been updated

1. Merged SDK Specialist Enhancements mod by Supercheese, allows specialists to affect a city's Health and Happiness.

2. The Doctor and Great Doctor have been changed to add health instead of food.

3. The Artist and Great Artist have been changed to add happiness.

4. The default sum Values for all city specialists (except the Citizen, and Great General) has been standardized to be 7.

5. The total number for any standard specialist in a city is capped at 13: 10 from regular buildings and 3 more from Wonders.

6. There are four wonders which can globally change every city specialist:

a. Universal Health Care (National Wonder): +1 health to all specialists
b. University of Sankore (World Wonder): +2 research to all specialists
c. The Kremlin (World Wonder): +2 Spying to all specialists
d. Sistine Chapel (World Wonder): +2 Culture to all specialists - This is not new (Informational only)

This patch is a wonderful change and creates balance among all the specialists.

See first page to download the updated patch.

Have fun!
