So here I am, trying my first semi-MP on king difficulty when I found myself settled between Ashurbanipal and Askia. Due to the geography, no problems with Askia so far, but then the Assyrian troll comes near my capital very early in the game, with nothing less than 7 or 8 warriors and a few archers (I had only one of each by that time), declares war and doesn't attack me for 100 something turns, but still refuses to make peace.
Then he starts to trade with me and gets friendly. Seriously, now I don't care if my trade routes with him were very profitable, I just want him out of the game. I declared war, pillaged all his land trade routes, got one city, another for peace, made peace for 30 turns (which is what I need to get frigates, since his remaining cities are all coastal) and now I will wipe them off the map.
