Golden icons useful ?

Hi there !

I'm playing CivRev DS, and I noticed something :
When you win a game in a difficulty mode with a leader by a way (exemple : Winning a game by Cultural win, with Shaka the Zoulou, in Emperor difficulty)
Then, when choosing the same leader, in the same difficulty mode, a golden icon of the winning method is now displayed for that leader, in that difficulty mode.

I now own the 4 golden icons (I won by all different ways) for Shaka the Zoulou in Emperor difficulty mode.

Is there any use to these icons ? Any bonus ?
Or is it juste useless ? :x

I'm french so... I maybe have written some errors.

On the DS, their only use is to remind you of what types of victories you have achieved with each Civ. They're really just "eye candy".

No, there is not. The DS is meant for portability and not excessive options with bells and whistles (like the Xbox Achievements or Playstation Trophies). Anytime you wonder about what else could have been in the game, just hold that tiny cartridge in your hand and it should remind you how amazing it is that we got everything that is already included.

Basically, those notifications are there for the completionists who enjoy tracking their victory progress using all of the civilizations and utilizing different victory conditions. Like was noted earlier, eye candy.
