Can't Get to Next Turn

France asked for peace and offered me Orleans. I accepted, with the intention of selling it for cash. So I chose to raze it.

On the next turn, the game asked me to select production for Orleans. But before I did so, I sold Orleans to the Inca. Except, now the game is demanding I select production for a city I do not control. I'd have to fall back 10 turns to reload off of the auto-save. Is there any way for me to just force the game to move on?

I don't think there is.

That's happened to me a few times. I've learned to puppet it, then the next turn select production, and then I sell it.
