The Glory of Rome: an awesome production bonus that provides great advantage throughout the game.

Scourge of God: the only thing that has some uses in the UA is the production from pasture, which is, well, not very useful.

The problem with the Patriarchate is that Byzanthium has nothing that synergises with it. If they had, say, the Stele, or the Pyramid, ANYTHING to get them a bit of a headsup in the religion race, then it'd be great. But the way it meshes with the rest, no, sorry.
Ancien Regime is great. You get great policies a lot earlier then the pack, allowing you to fill out your first tree extremely fast. A Tradition-Boosted Paris grows faster then any other city in the game, which is kind of silly. Sure the bonus peters off later, but that's MUCH, MUCH later - by which point you should already have quite a nice boon gathered from it.

Even its units has nothing to do with faith.

+range and +speed for faith spread would be awsome with tithe in deity. Too bad you do not get a religion.

The Long Count - On paper this looked really Amazing, even overpowered. You get free great people spaced through the game. And you dont even have to do anything! In practice; however, since you only get each person once, after that engineer and scientist, it peters out early. The other great lackluster great people drive up the cost of generating one on your own, namely the one you want, that you will never have enough gpp.

Father Governs Children - City states are powerful without a buff, but getting more with Siam makes them that much better, especially in the food department, which lets your puppets grow so they can work more trading posts, which makes more money, which buys more city states.

Gardens, National Monument, Leaning Tower = +75% generation, then add in 10% per friend? W/ Sweden, 3 friends gets you 100% faster generation! You'll have more great people than anyone else, guaranteed. Can't get DOF's? Well, the AI has an incentive to be your friend, too, so they're much easier to get. PLUS, you know those crappy great admirals you never need more than 1 or 2 of? Get 90 influence each and never risk losing one in transit b/c they teleport instantly.

Free...harbors...period. Anything free has to be good...or at least not bad...most of the time...but this is good, really good.

Even post patch, with the healing, as I have said before, melee units will be exactly the same in many situations, and if your knight is getting something from pillaging 4 tiles, you might want to move him out of city range. Considering the AI can't manage a navy to save its digital life, it's not hard to take a city from the sea anyway.

This is flawed logic. SWE UA is Actually better when you do not have these buildings.
100% vs 130% (30% more GP)
all building:
175% vs 205% (17% more GP)
This basically means that sweden get 0.5, 1 more GP than other Civs.

Technically, VF gives disembarking melee units much more than other units due to the VF embarking "bug" (is it a bug? it doesn't look like it's being fixed). A Viking melee unit can embark and pillage numerous tiles on the same turn regardless of ZOC. A Viking melee unit with blitz can embark, attack a city, pillage themself up to full health, attack again the city again, and perhaps even pillage again depending upon their bonuses to emarked movement. Two viking melee units with blitz can literally pillage an Archipelago island to the ground and attack a city 4 times without suffering health effects. It doesn't even matter if that island has defenders due to the ZOC effect. That's crazy good. It's downright broken good.
 
I don't think roof has seen any of the posts in regards to the other half of the Denmark UA. If you focus only on pillaging it is mediocre. The other half of the UA is THE DRAW. If you think pillaging is the only part of the UA - you are using Denmark wrong.

And yea - as the above poster says. With pillaging + Blitz and using a sea siege. A Berserker could heal up to 6 times or with Blitz, attack up to 6 times.

Viking Fury 12 (+1) Easily the most underrated UA here. The people downvoting it seem to only downvote it in regards to the pillaging - and don't comment at all on the other part of the UA and with the pillaging buff coming up its going to be even more powerful. Imagine this a Berserker unit with a frigate. The Frigate attacks a unit off the coast then the berserker disembarks and has 6 movement. He then attacks and then pillages the coast tile beneath him for another 25 hp. With additional hp Berserkers will be able to exp even quicker - and having Blitz Berserkers will be even more powerful. Attack the unit again after healing and proceed to attack up to 6 times. Once the unit is dead - heal up without using movement points and continue to attack. Move onto the next units and repeat. Or use a cannon/artillery. Cannon/Artillery can ignore ZOC twice with the Danish UA. Go in between a hole of the coastal defense if someone has one or make a small one with your frigates. The Artillery can march 2 tiles in then fire on a city. Any unit with blitz as Denmark is the worst fear of anyone you can imagine.

With the rabble units you collect you can make a quicker impact there. In general the bonuses are too weak to make any major impact in multiplayer or on faster speeds

Art of War: Units fight with 15% more strength, and 50% more generals/citadels.

Druidic Lore: Great early game, but then I am banging my head when I cannot improve my forest tiles in mid-late game.

Scourge of God really takes a backseat to the unique units. That isn't how it should be. I start with an extra tech? I get +1 production from pastures? Big whoop.

Father Governs Children is what won me my first prince game, my first king game, and my first emperor game. I sailed around, found all the maritime cs's, friended them, and upon entering the industrial I was at 40 pop. Thats 40 science. Meanwhile the AI is struggling to get their capitals to 20 pop. I think this UA is so flexible while being so general that in any situation it is helpful.

30% is better than 17%, but 17% is better than 0%, which is where every single other civ would be! Get Cathedrals with your religion and you'll be rolling in great artists all game long.

Sun Never Set : Extra movement in water is great to find other cs and landmasses earlier. When it's time to attack with an armada of boats you can go anywhere faster too. And a free spy :)

Spirit of Adwa : Unless playing OCC there is nothing useful with that bonus. Can worth it at deity for some occasions if you fight a runaway civ. But that's all.
