I've played G&K the last two month.
But this fall-patch reduced the playing-fun for G&K distinctly.

Puppeting of cities is no longer supported and the pathfinding routines are much worse.

How can I do a rollback previously before the patch ?

It's not as much fun for me either. I've started four games and was completely overrun each time. I've now dropped from King to Prince and I still have to go very deep into debt just to keep from being overrun. I don't have the puppet problem though. In my current game as Germany, I puppeted two French cities. I'm waiting to hear the answer to your question because I would roll back too if I could. I don't think it's possible with Steam.

There is no way, unless you want Moderator Action: *snip* :nono: you certainly don't.

looks like you've run into a bug. Puppeting cities is very much supported.

You may have missing files/corrupted files.

From the Steam window, rightclick on your Civ5 icone > Properties
Go to the 'LOCAL' tab click on ' VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE'

It should find and fix and missing or corrupted files.

Don't rely on that dude. It should but doesn't.

I don't follow. Actually I did it myself after posting.

Steam found 26 files and redownloaded about 130 MB of stuff.

I hadn't verified my files in a while.

I am glad it worked for you. Mine was corrupted somehow. My GnK file were not all there even after I verified the integrity of my cache. If it works fine. If it doesn't prepare for a headache. I was able to get things worked out, but I am not new to steam either. They need to have better troubleshooting tools.
