I moved our scout to the plains hill. I wish somebody had corrected me or I had noticed before that it was a scout, not a warrior. Either way, I still think the plains hill was a good move.
He uncovered the cows plain seen here on the left. I then moved the settler 1 N because I was in a quandary over what to do now ~ move further to get the cows, or proceed with the plan? I also moved him in hopes of a map, but no such luck:
Tribal village results: lots of gold.
Even with the cows there, i decided to settle 1 N. We had all agreed, plus it can save the cows for a 2nd (or later) city ~
Berlin founded
And, if any of my early screenshots came out, you would see that the settle was rewarded with rice 2 W! super nice! Im not exactly sure what happened with the early pics ~ maybe something as simple as me hitting the wrong key. Anyway, imagine the founding . . .
I set research for Agri (9 turns) as rolo indicated with good reason, and started on a worker (15 turns).
3920 bc: our warrior finds a corn field ~
This is the first pic I have?! Of the corn?!? Well, enjoy it everyone, for you can see Berlin in the teeny-tiny bottom-left corner. It was also then that I realized we had a scout and not a warrior.
In 3760 bc, a scout enters a goody hut, and they gift him with
lots of gold. You can see the also found bananas near the corn and a mt range!
3640 bc came around quickly whilst I explored more:
I started research on
Bronze Working (13 Turns). This is also the year the barb animals appear, a lion eyes our scout across the plains.
Note the goody hut and the stone! I only got a map of the sea.
That lion attacked our scout a couple turns later.
While defending in the wild, Scout (0.32/1) defeats Barbarian Lion (Prob Victory: 78.7%). We had to heal for quite a few turns after this. It pretty much ended the exploration efforts during my set.
In 3400, our worker was done, and I started on a warrior
(15 turns). We will also grow in 8.
3320 and
Hinduism is founded in a distant land. I mustve missed Buddhisms founding because a few turns later, in 3160, I met the founder of it.
I stopped on the next turn, 3120 bc.
Also,
Berlin grew to size 2, so it seemed fitting. I havent revolted yet, and dont know that its need as of yet. Maybe just as we start on our first settler??
As for next techs, I say either go for Masonry to get it out of the way, or head towards Writing, maybe Wheel and Pottery, though we dont need it. Whatre the other ways to get Writing? Through AH or Priesthood??
Heres our lands after 22 turns:
And heres a dotmap of our lands:
So, I think red dot should be next, obviously for the copper and defense. Blue dot *could* be next, but we may have to settle further north, in the direction of whoevers there. In any case, Blue will be a good little science center with the fish and sheep. The stone and hills will help with production, too.
The other areas (green, yellow, and pink) indicate places where cities probably *should* go, I just dont know exactly where yet. Let the group hash it out. Any case, still, red should be next.
And finally, Berlin:
Im having the worker farm that other FP now. I figure with their extra commerce, they are better to farm than the rice as of now. We also could stand to have one of those hills mined, maybe chop out another worker from one??
