Cultural Diversity

Hey I'm trying to use this with your Joseph II Austria mod and the full CBP from the most recent installer version. The culture group always turns out Western for Austria, even though the group should be central. I tried disabling JFD_CULDIV_ARCHITECTURE_CHANGES but that didn't fix it. Any help much appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like a mod conflict. I'll need to see your database log. Instructions on the opening post on how to get this.

The thing is that before the update, there was a failsafe for that. Now it does not work. Therefore, it suddenly does not work even if you have not added any civ at all since the update. That's what I wonder about

This'll be a side-effect of the load order. When installing an update to a mod as pervasively supported as CulDiv, you should always enable it first.
 
This error occurs when I use this mod with Community Patch Project (3-9).

Any idea why the Southern culture group (bonus=free fishing tech w/ CBP) starting units don't get embarkation? I remember seeing this here at some point but I don't remember if it was resolved. I am using v.7, with full CBP no EUI, plus a few choice picknmix mods

Was wondering why the Classical civs, e.g. Rome, don't get free access to the Liberty tree when using CBP. Maybe you can enlighten me?

I don't think the starting bonuses of Cultural Diversity is balanced with the CBP, everything else checks out fine IIRC.

There was a small conflict argument over the whole thing a while ago...
 
You need to be using the latest beta (23rd/24th of April, I think).

The latest beta constantly crash the game for me, so is there a version of this mod as well as City in Development that supports Community Patch Project (3-9)?

CulDiv does not require the CP at all. CID, however, requires the latest version. If you're experiencing frequent crashes, you should report them to Gazebo, or try to lesson you load order.
 
For anyone XPing the bug whereby the first few Social Policies do not increase culture cost, could you please disable Starting Bonuses in the User Settings and see if the issue persists? Thanks.

IIRC, I noticed it in a game a while ago; it wasn't in any way a testing build, however, so it might have been caused by something else.

I think a lot of these are definitely better that the one's I suggested last time.
 
I just played with Gediminas of Lithuania and I'm playing with CulDiv and it put him as a "Western" culture, which, in terms of your definitions, he would more likely be an Eastern culture. Also the units spoke in English. I wasn't really sure where to post this but seeing as it's probably an issue with CulDiv I put it here.

The cultures problem might be a conflict, or it might be Gedemias being horribly outdated.

I've found the social policy issue even with bonuses disabled, so Indonesia think that's the issue.

Still, you know you're playing CulDiv for the splashscreens, right? :p

No, I get that I just like the starting bonuses. I think it adds something extra to the game.
 
So, just wanted to stop by and drop off some southwestern images. I know there aren't that many civs out for it, but I think someone was working on the Apache, and I'm assuming someone's going to make some of the others somewhere down the line.

This is a known issue, and if I had to blame something, it'd be the CP. Don't think anyone's got round to narrowing it down yet, though.
 
Is the Enlightenment Era mod compatible with Cultural Diversity? I've been considering adding a new era to Future Worlds, but I'm trying to figure out how much would be required to add compatibility with CulDiv as well, so figuring EE would be a good example to look at if it's actually compatible.
