Fall patch is out

So, how is the +25 hp from pillaging working out? I'm reluctant to download the new patch since I don't know if I'll like it.... 25 hp seems a bit too much

I see a DOW on Sidon and a free worker.

happened to me once before - I stole Edinburgh's settler before he settled.

- Added "Restart Game" option to game menu. This option lets you restart the game and generate a new map using your current pregame settings. It's only available at Turn 0.

CANNOT BELIVE THIS IS NOT WORKING IN HOT SEAT. WE WERE WAITING FOR IT SINCE HS IS OUT :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Is was the most wanted feature by me and my wife. Huge dissapointment :(

The game was playing fine from turn 111 to 147 and crashed on Spain's turn during 148.

Great patch, but serioulsy, how hard can it be to hardcode a clock to the top bar? :) Why it's still not there?

Are you crazy? There's no way they want you to know how long you've been playing!

Cheers.

...I have a serious problem with this patch.

The mods selector is now bugged. Each time I boot the game, everything is unchecked, so I have to go through the list and check 30-something mods before playing my game. It certainly doesn't help that my game has a tendency to crash when loading a save file in the middle of a game (though I suspect that's only because I play with Huge maps with 42 CSs and Raging Barbs).

However, on top of that, I just had one of those crashes, and tried to reload my game, checking all the mods I use beforehand. I know that I didn't miss any. But what resulted was a runtime error.

I don't need to tell you that this is very troubling. It means that until this is fixed, if I ever quit or crash, I will not be able to continue any games in progress.

Here is my savegame it crashed the next turn. I noticed to the north the Dutch were escorting their workers around outside friendly territory. They began working tiles, but still were leaving some unfinished. They were diverting workers to all their cities though (at least the ones I could see via my units), so I am sure they will be working all important tiles.

...bummed that they aren't supporting touch screens in Win7.

Hmmm, doesn't seem to crash for me when playing that save out 5 turns. Could you please check your Civ V root directory for .mdmp files? Specifically one that has a creation date and time around the time of the crash. Thanks!

Game now re-installes all mods every time i start game and crashes after few turns. It gets stuck in AI's turn

What should i do?

We're taking a look now. Thanks for the heads up.

I suppose it's visual only, good for my R.E.D. mod with more figures per unit.

It's an animation issue. Say you were shooting a warrior with one of your archers, but the warrior only had 10 HP left. You would see all ten of the archers in your unit shoot the one remaining warrior dead on, which looked a bit weird. Now presumably there'll be a bit of a spread of arrows.

Makes sense, thanks!

You have the number of planned votes for you available in the victory screen IIRC.

Sort of. The number on the victory screen is just the number of allied city-states you have; it doesn't actually give the projection on which of the major civs would vote for who until someone builds the UN.

Of course maybe the AI would get the major civ information, I dunno.

Forgot about being able to see projected votes. Good catch Arachonfiend on it being CS only. If the AI does indeed have major civ information thats a bit cheesy. Nothing game breaking, but would prefer the AI to refocus on diplomacy and I am a fan of "the AI just got it wrong" scenario on occasion. Adds a bit of randomness and flavor. Not a big deal. Don't want to take too much focus away from game breaking changes like....

Aw, this ruins the entire game for me.

;)

Aww shoot, I forgot about the clock people. Seriously, what's so hard about looking at your watch, desk clock, phone, etc. instead of wanting to add more clutter to the interface?

The clock people....reminds me of this :

Spoiler :

Am I the only one with loading textures problem? After the patch my textures are loading slow and do not hold, so when I scroll/jump around the map I see constang gray fields and have to wait for textures to appear. I have never had this problem before and it started right after the patch. Making the game totaly unplayable. Is there some way to revert back to previous patch? I was really happy with it, not a single problem.

150 Turns in to a game as Elizabeth. So far No Problems. No Crashes. Only Bismarck sux!

No Iron within my 3 city radius! Doh!

Can't log on right now, but they didn't fix the sub promotions to prevent land unit bombardment promotions for a unit that can't bombard land?

How big was the patch? Mine downloaded 17 mb, but then crashed when I started the game.

EDIT: It's crashing only in DX10/11 mode

I'm also crashing since patch was installed today and also only DX10/11, any ideas?
