Social Justice Rogue
Did you know Jeremy Paxman says he is a socialist?
What the- where? Do you have any sources, etc?
Did you know Jeremy Paxman says he is a socialist?
Is that supposed to be funny?Very much so... I like the music of Kurt Cobain, the comedy of Chris Morris, the paintings of Hieronymous Bosche and the books of Bill Bryson, none of whom, to my knowledge, are socialists
Is that supposed to be funny?
And the relevance of that, in a thread about politics, is...?Don't see how, as he's just listing his favourite musician, comedian, painter and writer? Who also don't happen to be socialists.
Ah, thanks. I've matured more i guess. I'm more liberal now.
Oh, are you in college now?
And the relevance of that, in a thread about politics, is...?
*Sighs**Sighs* He's showing that he isn't head over-heels with all socialists and ACTUALLY (god forbid) likes and accepts people with a different political view.
He gives the impression to be a socialist, and a reformist at that, who doesn't seem to be to heavily weighed down by marxist ideology.Perhaps, you should tell him the social democratic ideas in question?
*Sighs*
But this is not the topic in question. I ACTUALLY (God forbid) can read, and I couldn't care less for what paintings he likes in *this* context. For the moment I happen to listen a lot to Kuhlau. He didn't write a word about historical materialsm.
But he asked why he was perceived in a certain way regarding *his political views* and I tried to answer that. If he wants to discuss Flemish renaissance painters I am happy to oblige him, but not in this thread.
Nothing to worry about, my friend.Right mate, okay then. Was just attempting to explain, sorry that i'm not good enough, nor was my responce.

Just like the good old social democrats, before people like Blair made the word dirty.
Sorry, could you be more specific?
sniggerDid you know Jeremy Paxman says he is a socialist?
Not just yet.
First of all I don't find it fair to RRW to dissect him im public. He is a good lad, and deserves better.
Secondly I don't want this thread to be about me. I know just too well what happens if I plunge deeper into this and I am off to my favourite pub in about an hour.
I've recently noticed I'm not generally considered a communist, why is this?
Is that supposed to be funny?

English is not my first language, so I am prepared to be misunderstood once in a while.
