English lyrics:

Spoiler :

We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up

The Conservatives love fighter jets
Nothing for families, but billions for that
The G8, G20 cost us a bundle
The country’ has never been so deep in debt
The Conservatives rewrite history
But unfortunately, it’s in indelible ink
When we lost our seat at the UN
It was the first time we’d been excluded

We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up
We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up

The Conservatives are against Kyoto
On the environment, the world gave them a zero
Stephen Harper and oil companies are BFFs
He protects them more than he does our planet
Conservatives talk about the economy
The more they talk, the poorer we get
The deficit is worse than they said it would be
Next thing you know, we’ll be living on the street

We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up
We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up
We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up
We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up

The Conservatives are the reigning champions
For blocking access to information
Our democracy is taking quite a beating
As for the rights of women, it’s open season
Conservatives have undermined
Support and respect for minorities
And when Stephen Harper talks about the death penalty
I can’t help but feel a shock go through my body

We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up
We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up

The Conservatives want only to punish
Those who oppose them better watch out
If you disagree with Stephen Harper
Their gonna insult you, try to scare you
I’m sick of feeling ashamed of my government
We’ve got to get rid of them ASAP
The Conservatives and Stephen Harper
Not my Canada, not my values either

We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up
We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up
We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up
We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up
We’re fed up, We’re fed up
We’re so fed up

As for economic opportunities... the federal civil service requires its employees to be bilingual.

As a Francophone Albertan, I support this.

As a public servant, I can tell you that this is not true. Anecdotal evidence, but 4 out of the 5 bosses I've had in the PS have been unilingual anglophones.

Bon travail mes amis! (@ the ad posted above pboily's post).

It seems some Canadian voters are confused, they seem to believe that Harper is head of state of Canada rather than just being a politician and the hired help.
With the USA so close do a lot of Canadians get confused between the USA and the Westminster political systems ?

Rule for the Westminster system, a PM must first be an MP by
winning his sear in an election.

Wonder if Harper will make Conrad Black a Canadian citizen ?
If so can he use his title in Canada ?

Not the one he was given by the House of Lords... but I've got one that he's more than welcome to use.

Seeing that from a major political party makes me cringe, a bit.

First sysyphus and now pboily. This election is bringing all of the old school Canadian posters out of the woodwork. :yeah:

P.S. you guys should post in the NHL threads more often :p

I missed you guys...

Back on topic: the Green Party has been excluded from the debates. Now that's complete and utter crap.

How on earth is it acceptable to put single-province party into a national debate, but not a party running candidates in every single riding?

Yet again... It looks like another petition will be looming to have them included. Elizabeth May and Jack Layton were the only decent performing leaders last time, at least for the English debate.

This exclusion alone has pretty much decided my vote.

It isn't acceptable. But the other parties get away with saying that she's not eligible because there were no Green party members with seats at dissolution, so they don't count.

It's too bad they couldn't have made a deal with a Liberal to cross the floor on the last day or two just on principle, or even a fair-minded Independent, although I don't recall if there were any Independents other than Guergis. And she wouldn't help the Greens...

May was awful in the French debate.

Taking both debates into account, I would have ranked Dion first followed by Gilles.

Excluding the Greens is ridiculous. They were in the debates last time, they are running in every riding, and are polling around 7-8%.

This will probably just be like last time. She gets excluded, then there is a massive public backlash until they let her into it.

Wonderful publicity though.

Wonderful publicity though.

Yes, I suppose it is. Though it didn't really help them out last time when they didn't win any seats.
