We´re not all barbarians

2200 BC
Definitely playing farmers gambit with this one. Both cities don't even have a token garrison.

2080 BC
Add Cathy to the list of known civs.

1880 BC
Add Rome to the list of known civs.

Silk city has been built. It is choked by Japan culture, so it starts on a monument.

Summary:
Writing is due in 1 turn. It is time to talk about tech path.

We at least have cardboard cut outs in all out cities.

Settler due in 4 turns, and a chariot escort already in Karakorum. Two possibilities are red X - river with 2 decent food tiles and black X to claim two happy resources.

@rolo: hope your mum's ok .

cripp7 is UP.

Imhotep's on deck.

I'm still keen on HbR (and sending out a chariot to meet other civs) because of the barb threat which will be significant.

I have one chariot exploring already. ;)

@cripp7: seems like a leisurely browse which is fine. Any thoughts?

the black X (not marked) would 1E of the fur, and the other for 2 deer right?

2 deer would block the coast from Toku, but we the :) right now until we get Monarchy. What's everyone's opinion?

I can't discern any Xs but for now food trumps happy imo. Besides, if the happy-spot is northern furgold, it's not in any danger any time soon.

I checked the save. Things are going well :)

micromanage tips for next player:
- turfan must get pig+deer
- karakorum must start library next turn.

I propose we do not expand mutch more now, our equilibrium is at 30% at this time.
furthermore, i have no idea where to put next city. the city in the west with fur, wheat, cow and deer seems tempting but quite far. otherwise, fur and gold give mediocre city but will be founded one day or another...

For science : agriculture and fishing are badly needed. HBR can wait until we get both IMHO. alphabet could get both the turn we got it but HBR wont :p

I see it. Will try to squeeze in between a load of work I'm buried under and a guitar concert I have to play at on Sunday...

Until we get HR we don't really need fishing or agric coz of happy cap. Beshbalik to run 2 scientists or it just gets miserable. Turfan to get deer and pig to grow and whip lib asap. Library for Karakorum is probably worth doing but another worker and chariots would also be useful.

We'll probably see the start of the barbarian onslaught in the next set. Have fun.

At the end of the day, wathever the path we take, if we want to REX siberia, the 3 decisive tech will be curency (for extra trade), monarchy (for happy face and therefore bigger cities to support a stronger economy) and code of law (tribunal obvioulsy).

I think we should consider to have these ASAP.

By the way, keshik need HR and archery.

Any news Imhotep? I'm guessing a guitar concert will come first. If you're still snowed under then let us know.

We will indeed need archery for keshiks but maybe we can build some gers first.

Sorry guys for keeping you in waiting mode, but I really needed more practice. Concert was a resounding success though :). I can try to play until Wednesday, or you just skip/swap me for now. Captain's choice :).

any youtube link of the concert by chance?

on to the game, i went a shadow game yesterday night. I tried the oracle approch and get it by -1560 with SIP, going AH then beeline oracle. As I was lucky with a hut(writting) and i could get currency with it. After that, i just rexed until my science droped too mutch (I'm at 6 cities at 30 %).

Captain's Log: We'll wait, if you haven't played and posted by Thursday (midnite gmt) we'll swop you.

Swap away. I'm snowed under with work, getting ill, and generally won't get to anything private until next week :( ...
