I am very vexed. How do I find a unit?

Hello.

I can`t seem to find instructions anywhere on how to find a unit. Sometimes I have lots of workers and I want to go back to a unit, but I sometimes just can`t find him on a busy big map. Is there a shortcut command to find a unit type? For that matter are there also shortcuts for other types of units like Settlers. The manual (even ingame) doesn`t seem to say.

Yes. On the uppermost left part of the screen there's this panel where you can choose on what aspect of your empire you want to focus on, or to see it at the moment. Most have it set on technology, but you can choose to set it on the military overview with a button situated on the, again, uppermost left corner of that window.

You can get a sorted list of units from that drop-down memu at the top left (as the prior post notes--that menu that typically defaults to the tech you are currently researching). That menu also allows you to see where you are on your luxuries and strategic resources, or on great person generation, etc.
