quick question.... :)

Hi all, hope you are well and if in the UK, enjoying this glorious sunshine!

Anyhow, quick question about the Civ IV patch. I did look to see if there is another forum for this, but couldn't find one, so apologies if this post is in the wrong place.

According to the official site, the latest Civ IV patch is 1.6, which I have, and when I let the game search automatically for an update, it tells me I have the latest version but Googling Civ IV patch gives me several sites offering a 1.74 patch. Although in one the threads several people had posted that it messed up the game, and they had to reinstall it. For those interested:

Please note that there are several sites giving this 1.74 patch, that's what made me wonder.

What version you need depends on what version of the game you have.

Vanilla/Normal: 1.74
Warlords: 2.13
Beyond the Sword (BtS): 3.19

Don't think the auto search works any more btw. Hopefully you have BtS, as that's the newest and best version of the game, so in that case you want the 3.19 patch.
