starting locations

how do you change the starting locations of a specific civ???
does the earth map have have correct starting locations?

If you have the latest versions, you can go to the Editor, right click the starting location spot (it'll be a kind of crosshair) then go into something that says assign the user, change it, something to that effect, then just click who you want to control that spot.
