Pbem

Greetings, I have played Civ IV for quite a while but would like to try a PBEM game. I set up the individual players in a Multiplayer game, but when I try to send it fails. All the players have Gmail accounts; I am using smtp.gmail.com and their user names and passwords. Can anyone send me the secret to getting this up and running, please?

Google's smtp server requires SSL to be enabled.

Just use your local ISP's smtp settings.
