Is there a way to tell replanted forests from original forests?

Hello.

I'm not sure my question makes a lot of sense but don't hesitate to help me improve my English.
The problem is the following: after discovering engineering, I tend to plant forests around cities that are already maxxed in population. But sometimes, I want to chop a forest or two, to help a city complete a building faster. Unfortunately, as everyone knows, you can't get the 10 shield bonus more than once from the same tile. Of course, late in the game, I often can't remember wether the forest was there from day one or if I chopped and replanted...
So, the question is: is there any way to know, other than trying and reloading?

I've done some serious chopping in culture-games and always forget which tiles I chopped/replanted. As far as I can tell, you don't know which tiles you have chopped... Unless you take a pic and assign dots or summat to the tiles afterwards.

:)

CivAssist II will keep track for you. Other than that, the only way to tell is to keep track yourself since the beginning of the game. :crazyeye:

CivAssist II is available in the downloads.

Well, thanks for the answers. I'll try Civassist.
But I wish they had given a specific look to replanted forests.
