Growing Improvements

Basic idea:
Over time improvements grow.
(There is a second level of that improvement.)

Examples:
Farm will turn to Large Farm after 30 rounds.
Mine will turn to Large Mine after 40 rounds.
Lodge will turn to Lumberjack-Camp after 25 rounds.
...

The second level simply increases output a little more.
 
Great :thumbsup: I recently drove past some old barns that looked like that.
Could you make the plowed crops area a little more noticeable, maybe by increasing contrast or making its dirt area more brown? Otherwise it may blend in with the regular grass when zoomed out far.

I drove past such barns in June when I visited Pennsylvania. :D

Just a small remark:
I feel that the buildings are too big compared to the level 1.
(They would look strange next to each other.)
Maybe they could be just a bit smaller ?

A comparison with the other improvements shows me, that we should not make it smaller...;)

I have started the project "Growing Improvements" for our mod.

The first graphic I made was the farm:

I like the graphics and the feature :goodjob: Actually, I think the plan is still to have inventions/knowledge unlock the higher level of improvement; after that you become able to have your basic improvements grow after a certain number of turns worked on the tile. I think that's realistic since it took years of work to gradually develop a better local economic infrastructure in new colonies, even after knowledge & resources became available.
 
I mean, I would rather have inventions/knowledge unlock higher level of improvements than having them grow automatically... :(

We should first have the 2nd Level Improvements.
(And impelement them in a relatively simple way.)

Then when we finally implement Inventions, we can use Inventions to unlock them. :thumbsup:
