A PDF file exists on the orginal CD when you purchased the game.

Just FYI, it's CivFantics policy not to publish or make available copyrighted material, which includes the game manual.

While off topic, what does FYI mean.

I think that's what it means if not that something very similar

I haven't compared the PDF to the printed version, but the printed version definately does not reflect a lot of changes / has stats wrong. I'd love it if once all the changes settled if Firaxis actually updated the PDF and made it publicly available on their website.

It makes sense for CivFanatics to not make the manual available for download because it raises a lot of legal issues (see Napster). On the other hand, if you were to find a person who'd be willing to send it to you, they'd have a lot less to lose and likely be much less of a target for lawsuits. All speaking hypothetically of course.
